The MA Sociology syllabus is structured to provide in-depth theoretical and practical understanding of society, culture, social change, stratification, inequality, and research methods. It is a two year postgraduate program, divided into four semesters. MA Sociology Syllabus Exam Pattern

The MA Sociology exam pattern at SXC, Kolkata consists of Continuous Internal Evaluation (CIA) and a final-examination. The internal assessment has 20 percent of the total marks and consists of one mid-semester test. The external (final) examination includes 80 per cent of the marks and it takes the form of a full written examination at the end of the session.
