MVSc refers to the Master of Veterinary Science. It is a postgraduate degree program in the field of veterinary medicine. It is a two-year PG course.

 

To be eligible for MVSc in Animal Genetics & Breeding, candidates must have completed a Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (BVSc) with at least 55% aggregate marks from a recognized veterinary college. Admission is generally based on performance in an entrance exam such as ICAR AIEEA-PG or institute-specific tests.

 

The average course fee ranges between INR 20,000 – INR 1,50,000, depending on the university and funding model (central/state/private). MVSC Admission Process 2025

The admission process for taking admission into the MVSC course in BHU, Varanasi, is given below:

  • At first, candidates are required to register themselves for the CUET-PG entrance exam and appear for it.
  • At the same time, candidates also have to register and fill the online application form for the MVSC course on the BHU portal.
  • After the entrance results are declared, revisit the BHU portal and enter the entrance score within the specified date.
  • BHU will release a merit list depending on the CUET PG entrance scores.
  • The shortlisted candidates will be called for counselling depending on their merit ranks and availability of seats.
  • The finally selected candidates will have to undergo document verification, and after it is done, they will need to pay the registration fee for booking their seat in the MVSc
  • After this, candidates will be able to start their new academic journey when the new session begins.
