The CUET UG 2026 May 14 (Shift 1 & 2) exam was overall easy to moderate. In Shift 1, the paper was slightly easier, with most questions coming directly from the NCERT syllabus. The Language section was easy, and domain subjects were mostly straightforward. The General Test was moderate, though a few reasoning and maths questions were a bit tricky.

In Shift 2, the difficulty level was moderate and slightly higher than in Shift 1. While the Language section remained easy to moderate, the domain subjects included more concept-based and application questions. The General Test was a bit tougher, especially in quantitative aptitude, and the paper felt slightly lengthy for many students. Overall, both shifts were manageable for well-prepared candidates.
