PGDIT: Admission 2025

The admission process for PGDIT course may vary as per institutions eligibility criteria and selection procedure whether it is merit-based or entrance-based. For reference, the admission process for PGDIT course at University of Mumbai has been given below:

  1. Candidates must acquire the brochure for the PGDIT course, a fee of INR 200 is required to get it. 
  2. The brochures include the application forms for the entrance examination, each assigned with a serial number. The department will not accept any form that lacks a valid number. When completing the application form for the entrance examination, students should read the brochure thoroughly and adhere to the provided instructions. 
  3. Completed and signed application forms, along with the original documents and certified copies of the marks statement, must be submitted to the admissions staff within the timeframe specified in the brochure. Applications that are incomplete or lack a marksheet will be rejected. 
  4. Candidate selection will be based solely on merit from the entrance examination. A list of students admitted to the PGDIT course will be posted on the Department's notice board as well as on the university website. Two admission lists, created according to Entrance Test merit, will be displayed sequentially as per the schedule announced in the brochure. 
  5. There are 50 seats available for the PGDIT course. The performance of students in the examination will be ranked based on merit, with the first 50 students included in the initial merit list. A second merit list will be created only if there are vacant seats from the first merit list. 
  6. Candidates selected for the course must pay the full tuition fees as indicated in the selected candidates list. This payment must be made by the deadline stated in the list, or the candidate will lose their claim to the assigned seat.
  7. After the fee has been paid, the candidate can start the PGDIT course when the new session begins.
