CUET PG 2025 Counselling: Choice Filling

Choice filling is also known as locking, followed by successful document verification.  In this phase, candidates can fill in their preferred colleges and courses during registration. Due to this, students must be cautious since once the choice filing window closesno further changes about courses and colleges can be made.

After releasing the seat allotment list, shortlisted candidates must verify their documents. The seat allotment process consists of several steps: release of the rank listregistrationdocument verification, and fee payment. Once the seat allotment list is published, the qualified candidates can proceed with the fee payment and seat booking in the desired colleges. Shortlisted candidates can follow the steps below to participate in the seat allotment process:

  • Acceptance of the seat and fee payment is required to confirm their admission.
  • Reporting at the allotted institutions within the given timeframe.
  • Candidates need to produce the required documents according to the university’s instructions.

CUET PG 2025 Counselling: Spot booking

The spot booking round provides admission opportunities to those candidates who did not get a seat in the regular counselling. This generally occurs at the end of the third round of the counselling process to fill vacant seats. For example, JNU is expected to issue a final call for spot booking on 8th August, 2025, whereas DU may issue the vacant seats in the last week of July. But, it is not scheduled yet. This step requires in-person verification of the candidates in the universities/colleges and centres. However, candidates must refer to the official universities' websites to get the latest updates on the seat booking dates.
