CUET PG 2025 Eligibility Criteria: University-Wise Eligibility, Age Limit, Passing Marks

NTA released the CUET PG Eligibility Criteria on January 2, 2025. To be considered eligible for CUET PG 2025 Exam, candidates must obtain at least 55% marks in graduation. Other than Indian nationals, foreign candidates were also allowed to apply. There was no upper age limit set for the exam. Before filling out the CUET PG 2025 Application Form, candidates were advised to review the eligibility criteria.

CUET PG Eligibility Criteria 2025: Overview

NTA has set specific eligibility criteria for the aspirants. Candidates aiming to take admission in various PG courses through CUET PG must hold a bachelor’s degree. To get more information related to the eligibility criteria, must refer to the table below:

  • Minimum 55% marks required for General category in graduation.

Nationality

  • Indian citizens are eligible.
  • Tibetan refugees who settled in India before January 1, 1962.
  • Citizens from the following countries who have permanently moved to India: Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia.
  • Nationals of Nepal and Bhutan are also eligible.

CUET PG Eligibility Criteria 2025: Reservation Criteria

Students from different categories are offered seat reservations as per the Government of India rules. However, central universities may also follow their reservation policies. Students can refer to the table below for the exact reservation percentages.

CUET PG Eligibility Criteria 2025: University Wise

CUET PG Eligibility Criteria vary across universities. For example, Manipur University requires at least 45% to 55% marks with specific subject combinations like Zoology, Chemistry, or Biotechnology. On the other hand, BHU requires at least 50% marks in graduation for most courses. University of Hyderabad generally needs a minimum of 55% to 60% marks along with specific subjects. To get admission into JNU, candidates must obtain at least 55% marks for most courses, with some relaxation for reserved categories.

CUET PG Eligibility Criteria 2025: Manipur University, Imphal

To get admission to Manipur University, Imphal, candidates require 50% (45% for Reserved Category) marks in their graduation for most of the courses.

  • MBBS, BDS, BTech, BE, or BPharm with at least 50%.

MSc Mathematics

  • BSc (Hons), BA (Hons), BSc, or BA under 10+2+3 pattern.
  • Minimum 50% aggregate marks.
  • Must have studied Mathematics as Honours or in all three years. - For BSc (Hons)/BSc, only Science subjects are considered.
  • For BA (Hons)/BA, only major subjects count in the final degree marks.

MSc Physics

  • BSc (Hons) or BSc under 10+2+3 pattern.

CUET PG Eligibility Criteria 2025: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi
