The National Entrance Screening Test is conducted for those students who is seeking admission to the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), University of Mumbai's Department of Aromic Energy Centre for Basic Sceicen (UM-DAE CEBS). These institution aim to train a skilled scientific workforst capable of conducting innovative research and contributing to the Scientific programs of the Department of Atomic Energy and other applied science institutions in the country.

NEST NEST 2025

NEST 2025 will be conducted in around 120 cities. NISER offers a five-year integrated MSc program in Biological, Mathematical, Chemical, and Physical science. Along with the significant subject, a student can minor in Biology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry. Two hundred seats are offered, including reserved seats for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per Government norms. 2 supernumerary seats will reserved for eligible candidates from J&K and Ladakh. It offered admission under the OBC-NCL category.

NEST 2025 Application process

NEST 2025 Result

NEST will declare 2025 on its official website. The link to check the NEST result will be updated on the website. NEST 2025 Cut Off

Section-wise minimum admissible score (SMAS) or section-wise cut-off marks

  • For each section, “20% of the average of the best 100 scores in that section” will be considered the section-wise minimum admissible score (SMAS).
  • SMAS for different sections can have different numerical values.
  • For any particular section, the SMAS for the two sessions can have different numerical values.
  • SMAS for OBC students would be 90% of the respective SMAS for General category students.
  • SMAS for SC/ST/ PwD students would be 50% of the respective SMAS for general category students.
  • To qualify for percentile calculation, a candidate must score equal to or above the SMAS in at least three subject sections.
