COEP Technological University runs one of the oldest hostel systems in India. The COEP hostel dates back to 1869. The parent college, COEP, was founded in 1854. The COEP Technological University hostel campus sits close to the main university, Shivajinagar bus stand, railway station, and metro station. This location makes daily commute easy for students.

The hostel campus has 11 buildings in total. Boys have 8 blocks: C, D, E, F, G, H, I, and J. Girls have 3 blocks: A, B, and GHB (Girls Hostel Building). Each block has a different height. GHB is G+10 storied, the tallest on campus. H and I blocks are G+3 storied. F and J blocks are G+1 storied. A, B, C, D, E, and G blocks are G+2 storied.

The COEP hostel campus houses about 2000 students. It also has a hostel office, a security room, a guest house, eight rectors' quarters, and the Vice Chancellor's residence. Five student messes run on a co-operative basis, managed by the students themselves.

COEP Pune Hostel Fees 2026

The COEP Technological University hostel fee for the academic year 2026-27 is fixed and covers two semesters, odd and even.

Fee structure for First Year B.Tech / B.Planning students:

Full hostel fees must be paid after hostel admission is confirmed. Payment is accepted only through online mode, via SBI Collect. This covers the hostel fee plus the hostel deposit amount together. The mess deposit is paid separately at the time of room allotment, directly to the mess section, in cash or online. The mess itself is run by the student hostel committee.

Eligibility conditions for COEP Pune Hostel:

• Admission is branch-wise for Maharashtra state candidates, based on MH-CET merit number, following state government reservation rules.
• For All India candidates (JEE Mains route), admission follows the All India merit number.
• If a First Year student changes branch later, their hostel allotment does not change.
• Students residing within Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) or Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) limits are not eligible for COEP hostel admission.
• The hostel administration can deny or cancel admission at any stage in case of rule violation or misconduct.

Applicants must keep scanned copies of three documents ready before filling the Google Form: the institute admission confirmation letter, the F.Y. Hostel Admission application form 2026-27, and the college fee payment receipt.

COEP Pune Room Types and Accommodation

The COEP Pune hostel splits accommodation clearly between boys and girls, across separate blocks.

Boys' accommodation: 8 blocks: C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J. Girls' accommodation: 3 blocks: A, B, GHB.

Building height and structure:

• GHB is the newest and tallest structure on the COEP hostel campus. Each room comes with basic amenities: a cot, a table, a chair, and a cupboard. Rooms are described as spacious and airy, with natural light and surrounding green landscaping.

• Common rooms on each floor or block are equipped with TV sets and carom boards, giving students a shared recreational space outside their rooms.

• Room allotment happens after hostel fees and the mess deposit are paid. Students must produce all original documents at the time of room allotment for verification against their submitted application.

• The COEP Technological University hostel also runs an "earn while learn" scheme for needy students, giving them a way to support themselves while staying on campus.
