Admission: The IIT Kanpur process felt well-managed with clear JEE counselling steps, efficient document checking and timely emails guiding us before orientation.

Academic: IIT Kanpur exams are difficult, but attending all classes and listening to faculty helps a lot since the teachers are very qualified and active in research.

Placement: In my Material Science and Engineering course around 70 percent students get placed each year with an average salary near 17 LPA and companies like Tata Steel Reliance L and T and Infosys visiting though internship options are fewer for this branch.

Campus: The classrooms are modern with smart boards and projectors, very comfortable seats, one of India's biggest technical libraries, great high speed internet, and excellent food in the mess and canteen.

Admission: JoSAA made the path to IITK smooth, verification officers guided well and the orientation helped us understand everything before classes began.

Academic: Professors here are highly qualified and helpful, the teaching quality stays excellent, but exam papers are extremely tough especially in the mechanical department.

Placement: What I liked most was the placements because the average package was around 20 to 25 LPA and the highest was 1.43 crore internationally and 1.12 crore in India and even the lowest was 2.5 LPA and more than 85 percent students got placed in the first round with companies like Microsoft Google JLR Bajaj Auto Tata Motors ITC and BCG recruiting and about 75 percent students getting internships at Google Microsoft Oracle Texas Instruments and more for quant and software roles.

Campus: Our classrooms are large and comfortable with AC and smart panels, the campus has 20 lecture halls that hold 150 to 1200 students, Wi Fi covers the academic area, hostels are old but well maintained, and the mess food is always good.

Admission: The IITK admission steps felt organised because JoSAA instructions were clear, verification at campus went well and fee payment and registration were explained properly by staff.

Academic: Teachers in this course were very helpful, knowledgeable, and good at teaching, the curriculum made us job ready, and the semester exams were easy with more than 70% students passing.

Placement: Placements here are quite strong with over 80 percent students getting jobs in big companies and in my course the highest package was above 3 lakh per month and the lowest was around 20000 monthly and almost 95 percent students got internships through the course.

Campus: In my college the course facilities are solid with Wi Fi, clean classrooms, a proper library, good canteen food, medical support, and sports activities for all students.

Admission: IIT Kanpur handled everything neatly from counselling to orientation as verification was systematic and registration steps were easy to complete.

Academic: Faculty members here are very experienced and skilled, the curriculum is useful, and the institute arranges many activities while giving both online and offline study materials to help us.

Placement: Around 70 percent of students get jobs during placements and the highest salary is 16 LPA while the average is about 10 LPA and the lowest is 5.5 LPA with many companies visiting and almost 30 percent students also getting internships.

Campus: What I like about our college is the clean green campus, well kept classrooms and labs, a big library, many sports options with coaches, and easily available medical help.

Admission: My admission into IIT Kanpur moved smoothly after JEE Advanced, as JoSAA was easy to follow and document verification and registration were handled clearly with a helpful orientation.

Academic: Our college has many rules students must follow, like keeping 75% attendance to sit for theory and practical exams. The curriculum is relevant and good, and exams feel easier because internal marks are added.

Placement: Our college really helps a lot with getting jobs for students because the placement cell trains everyone for both IT and non IT jobs and even average students get packages starting from 4 LPA and going up to 20 LPA.

Campus: My college offers really nice facilities with super fast Wi Fi, Ethernet, proper labs with computers, CCTV, lifts, a canteen, water purifiers, a gym, and many sports tournaments organised by the student committees.

Admission: JoSAA made seat allocation at IIT Kanpur clear, verification at campus went without problems and registration was completed quickly before orientation.

Academic: Teaching quality feels strong because teachers are qualified and the curriculum is relevant, though exams finish within a week and include mid-semesters and frequent quizzes, with most grades ending up around C+.

Placement: Students here get strong placement support with almost 86 percent placed and companies like Dr Reddys and Reliance recruiting for roles in core and non core including SDE and product manager and packages ranging from 8 LPA to 80 LPA with an average of 20 LPA.

Campus: From my experience the Wi Fi on campus is super fast, classrooms are large, breakfast is nice but lunch and dinner are only okay, medical insurance covers everything, and medical help is available 24 hours.

Admission: For me, joining IIT Kanpur was simple since the counselling updates were prompt, verification at the reporting centre was efficient and the final registration came together neatly.

Academic: Professors at IIT Kanpur are extremely qualified, with PhDs from top global universities, so the learning is deep, but semester exams are much tougher than other IITs and the grading system is strict.

Placement: About 80 percent of students in my Chemical Engineering branch get placed and the highest package offered was 50 LPA while the median was 21 LPA and the lowest was 8 LPA with Microsoft giving that 50 LPA offer and students usually getting roles like SDE consulting and data analytics.

Campus: At IIT Kanpur the campus facilities are very good with strong Wi Fi, top class infrastructure, a huge three storey library for 500 students, old but fine hostels without AC, better than average mess food, a free health centre, and excellent sports options.

Admission: My IITK selection process had neat counselling rounds, detailed verification and supportive staff managing admission paperwork till orientation.

Academic: At IIT Kanpur, the teachers are very knowledgeable and easy to approach, the syllabus is tough but helpful, and each semester has a mid-sem and end-sem with marks depending on what faculty decide.

Placement: As per the first phase of placements 1000 students got jobs with salaries ranging from 3 crore per year to 5 lakh per year and roles like business analyst data scientist software engineer and AI engineer offered and all branches getting equal chances.

Campus: In the BSBE department everything is good with dedicated buildings, working labs, 24 hour Wi Fi, nice hostel rooms, and hygienic mess food.

Admission: The JoSAA allocation and registration for IIT Kanpur ran on time, verification was smooth and staff were always ready to assist through the steps.

Academic: Many teachers here are highly qualified and helpful, though some explain things too fast, the syllabus is relevant for industry, first-year exams are tough but later exams become easier for students.

Placement: In my course more than 70 percent students get placed with packages going up to 90 LPA and most getting 15 to 20 LPA and top companies like BNY Mellon Accenture Mastercard NPCI Ixigo Cars24 and Vedanta recruiting while around 50 percent get internships for roles like analyst IT engineer and senior faculty.

Campus: Talking about the facilities we get high speed Wi Fi everywhere, AC smart classrooms, huge lecture halls, clean labs, a large library, very good hostel food, decent medical help, and sports accessories for most games.

Admission: Getting into IIT Kanpur turned out easier than expected as JoSAA made allotment clear, verification was quick and staff guided well during registration and onboarding.

Academic: The teachers at our college explain everything clearly, encourage doubts, and teach a very relevant curriculum that trains us for the industry, though semester exams are tougher than other colleges and about 70% students pass.

Placement: For Mechanical Engineering the placements are decent because around 70 percent students got placed in 2024 25 with an average package of 20 LPA and companies like Tata Mahindra and L and T recruiting while around 50 percent students secured internships in automobile and sales companies.

Campus: The hostel here is quite nice with all food and sports needs covered, decent mess food, medical facilities with an ambulance, AC lecture halls, computer labs, and a big library for everyone.
