Admission: After my JEE Advanced results, joining IIT Madras felt simple since the counselling was clear, verification finished quickly and staff answered every question patiently.
Academic: What stands out for me is the top-notch faculty and the updated curriculum that prepares us well for industry and gives good internships in big MNCs while semester exams feel tough like IITM level but easy to clear if you follow lectures and complete assignments on time.
Placement: Performance in placements last year stood out when a BTech CSE student got 52.32 LPA and the general package stayed near 37 LPA proving how strong the campus recruitment is with global companies visiting as long as students focus on preparation and industry requirements.
Campus: Entering the IITM campus feels very different because the infrastructure is amazing and every facility a student needs is available so you can fully focus on studies and enjoy the environment which often feels like walking inside a forest.

Admission: Getting admission into IIT Madras was steady from start to finish as JoSAA rounds were structured, verification happened efficiently and the institute communicated every deadline properly.
Academic: Semester exams at this college are above average in difficulty while the curriculum remains practical and useful and teachers are super qualified though their teaching style could improve slightly.
Placement: From my experience placements for our course were really good with around 89 percent selection by companies like Google Microsoft Facebook and IBM and salaries ranged from 24 LPA to 55 LPA with an average around 35 LPA and job profiles mostly at senior or managerial levels close to leadership roles.
Campus: Campus buildings look first class and hostel setups are well organised but since I am an online student I only know that the options for games sports and canteen food are plenty and the overall facility setup is impressive.

Admission: IIT Madras kept the entire process simple starting from JoSAA counselling, followed by smooth verification and a fully supported registration process.
Academic: Course here covers basics well and leaves free time for extra learning though the branch feels outdated because AI and ML dominate today while some professors give tough exams even in open-book mode leading to only 10 to 15 percent passing in those papers.
Placement: Students in our college saw 70 to 80 percent placement while others pursued higher studies or dual degrees in data science and the highest package hit 66 LPA lowest was around 14 LPA and average became 28 LPA mostly from tech companies while core firms like Vedanta Tata Steel JSW and Applied Materials also visited and some internships came from places like Finmechanics Deutsche Bank Wells Fargo and Jaguar.
Campus: Value for money describes this college because facilities are very good even though the hostels are not perfect and campus WiFi is super fast though monitored and mess food is okay but obviously not like home food.

Admission: The JoSAA seat allotment for IIT Madras went step by step, verification took some time but staff handled it well and the final admission moved smoothly.
Academic: What impresses me most is the experience of the teachers since most have foreign PhDs and are very supportive while exams are super tough as expected from Indias top engineering college and weekly assignments push everyone but students still manage to pass because they work hard.
Placement: Support from the college for placements and internships is strong and they claim nearly 100 percent results and this year about 95 percent students were placed though core branches get fewer opportunities and more industrial internships would help even though the placement cell brings Indian and international companies regularly.
Campus: Hostel facilities include a gym and common rooms for both boys and girls with about 1 km distance between the hostels and hostel WiFi working well even if the general college WiFi is slower and mess food caters to both North and South Indian tastes while classrooms are well furnished.

Admission: Applying here was easy to handle because JoSAA showed the seat rules clearly, the verification both online and offline went smoothly and orientation helped us settle in.
Academic: Difficulty in this course stays high for both subjects and exams even though the structure is good and teachers expect students to study independently while explanations sometimes feel unclear and final marks depend on personal effort and the paper checker though the pass percentage remains decent.
Placement: Reality for core branches is that internships are tougher since fewer core firms visit so most opportunities are with software companies mainly for developer roles which is why many students also apply off campus to stay safe.
Campus: Food courts on campus offer good options though the mess food is just average and hostel conditions are only alright while medical and sports facilities are great and course difficulty depends on the branch with some having tough subjects and infrastructure quality changing from branch to branch.

Admission: When my selection was confirmed for IIT Madras, the online portal worked without issues, verification was efficient and counselling support guided each step before orientation.
Academic: Chemical engineering here is quite useful for industry needs and all teachers hold PhDs and are respected while students get chances to do research projects and semester exams are okay in difficulty, neither too easy nor too hard.
Placement: Talking about outcomes seniors shared that around 70 percent got placed and others pursued higher studies and the highest package touched 2 crore through Quant Firms while the placement cell allows only companies above 6 LPA giving a median between 18 and 20 LPA and roles in software finance consulting FMCG management and product management.
Campus: WiFi in all hostels is super convenient and labs have updated equipment while some classrooms lack AC and get hot and sports facilities cover almost every game and mess food stays average and the campus hospital helps with minor health issues.

Admission: Everything at IIT Madras was easy to follow as JoSAA counselling moved well, campus verification was efficient and their timely communication made joining stress-free.
Academic: Change in syllabus for the 2028 batch is a good sign since the institute tries to keep things industry relevant while semester difficulty depends on course choices and professors and tough courses see 85 to 95 percent passing whereas easy courses see nearly 100 percent and many professors with foreign PhDs help students even with career and mental health.
Placement: For MME BTech students many prefer higher studies or core jobs and about 70 percent registered candidates got placed with salaries from 8 to 24 LPA as firms like Jaguar Tata Steel Arthur D Little ICICI Bank KPMG Delloite Air India Accenture and Zomato visited and around 50 percent also got internships in roles like SDE analyst and graduate engineer trainee.
Campus: IIT Madras offers great facilities with new academic buildings that feel like foreign universities and all rooms have AC and new hostels provide a proper comfortable setup with each hostel having a gym swimming pool and sports areas and the campus also has OAT SAC and well maintained roads plus grounds for football hockey basketball and badminton.

Academic: Course curriculum here is very relevant and helps students understand the subject deeply and see career options clearly while teachers are supportive and exam difficulty changes with paper difficulty and evaluation style.
Placement: About this course the opportunities include both software and core fields with an average package of 10 LPA and around 75 percent placement though improving CGPA can raise chances of better offers.
Campus: Library facilities are strong with many books available and labs are well equipped and hostels have good WiFi and proper water supply and the sports setup motivates students to participate actively.

Academic: Physics-heavy nature of this course makes it tougher than many other branches though teachers are well qualified and helpful and the training focuses a lot on practical learning which prepares us for industry while the passing mark is 49 percent.
Placement: For our batch around 80 percent students were already placed with Airbus being a major recruiter offering internships to nearly 20 percent in front end roles and salary packages ranged from 8 LPA lowest to 40 LPA highest and an average of 14 LPA.
Campus: Hygiene in hostel rooms is maintained well and mess food is decent and academic facilities include strong WiFi labs classrooms and a big library while the campus culture surroundings and security are all top class.

Admission: My admission through JoSAA into IIT Madras felt well-managed with smooth online registration, quick verification and helpful staff during reporting and fee payment.
Academic: Most teachers in our college are highly qualified and friendly while a few are strict and the curriculum is generally good though it can improve and semester exams are tough and mostly problem-based with very few descriptive questions.
Placement: Students here saw an average package of around 17 to 18 LPA with most eventually getting placed though core jobs were fewer leading many to move toward non core positions and internships too were secured in several reputed companies.
Campus: Grounds here are well maintained and there is plenty to do besides studies while the library is big and helpful and hostels offer value for money though they can improve and WiFi works well most days and food quality depends a lot on the mess you choose.
