- There are 10 hostels in total in North and South campuses of IIT Mandi, each of these hostels is named after an Indian lake (e.g., Renuka, Chandrataal, Gaurikund, Beaskund, Surajtaal).
- Hostels have single, two and three sharing rooms with basic furniture such as beds (without mattress), study table with chairs, almirahs, lamps, as well as having several charging points.
- Every room and a shared space will have a free high-speed Wi-Fi and LAN connection.
- There are study rooms on each floor equipped with desks, chairs, and technical equipment; common rooms equipped with television sets and internal games such as table tennis, foosball, carrom, and chess.
- There are shared laundry even rooms that have washing machines and dryers that are available without charges to students.
- Other facilities on offer include microwaves, induction cookers, fridges, electric kettles, iron, water coolers, geysers, and hot and cold water which are available on call day in day out.
