Admission: The teachers here are really friendly. The course structure was a bit messy, probably because I was in the covid batch. The schedule for exams kept changing, and each professor held exams on different days. Attendance rules varied depending on the teacher. Exams could be a mix of midterms, final exams, or quizzes.

Placement: I'm currently in my second year and no one from my batch has gotten a job yet. But I've seen seven seniors land internships at Google. The placements for fourth-year students are good too. IIT Mandi's NIRF ranking went up a lot last year, thanks to the high placement rate here.

Campus: The study rooms and common areas are really nice and organized. The bathrooms could be better, though. The balcony view is awesome. In the hostel, you can find all the essentials like an induction stove, microwave, kettle, fridge, iron, and washing machines (mostly on the ground floor). There's even a table tennis table in the common rooms. But only one TV actually works in all the hostels.

Admission: Advancing from JEE Advanced results into JoSAA counselling for IIT Mandi was a smooth transition. Seat acceptance went well, on-campus document verification was quick, and helpful staff made the early orientation informative and easy to navigate.

Academic: Acknowledging the teachers, they are friendly, helpful, and explain all concepts clearly. The syllabus is being updated for future batches to match industry needs. Exams are medium-level, sometimes slightly tough, but more than 80 percent of students pass successfully.

Placement: For my course, more than 60% of students usually get placed. The highest salary someone got was 80 LPA internationally, and mostly, the average package is 20 LPA. Big companies like Samsung, Honeywell, and BNY Mellon come to our college for recruitments. Plus, about 70 to 80% of us from my course also get internships. The main role people get is Software Development Engineer.

Campus: Another aspect worth noting is how friendly and helpful the teachers are. They explain concepts clearly and guide students well. The syllabus is being updated for upcoming batches to match industry demand. Exams are medium-level but more than 80 percent of students usually pass successfully.

Admission: The teachers at our college are really great. They know their stuff and are always there to help. They teach in a way that's easy to understand. They make sure we learn practical stuff, not just theory. The exams each semester help us get better at what we're learning.

Placement: In our course, the salary package goes up to 62 LPA and starts at 10 LPA. About half of the students get placed, and there are companies like Indeed, Bharat Electronics Limited, SAP Labs, and Deloitte that come for recruitment.

Campus: The college facilities are really good. Wi-Fi works great. Classrooms and hostels have everything we need. The food in the mess and canteen is tasty. Medical help is also available when we need it.

Admission: Joining IIT Mandi became easy thanks to clear counselling rounds and timely updates. Online registration moved smoothly, document verification instructions were communicated properly, and supportive staff made the transition to orientation effortless.

Academic: Overall, the curriculum is quite good here. Most faculty members teach nicely and remain friendly. Passing exams is not difficult at all, but scoring really high marks takes effort because the grading system is new and students here are extremely competitive.

Placement: Honestly, I'm quite disappointed with the placements now. For our CSE batch this year, less than 40% got paid internships from campus. The placement and intern ratios have really dropped a lot in the past one or two years, way below what other IITs are doing. I actually joined here seeing how good the placements used to be, but it's gotten much worse now.

Campus: Honestly, the curriculum is quite good here. Most faculty members teach nicely and remain friendly. Passing exams is not difficult at all, but scoring really high marks takes effort because the grading system is new and students here are extremely competitive.

Admission: Experiencing IIT Mandis JoSAA-based admission felt well-coordinated. Seat allocation updates arrived clearly, document verification was simple to complete, and fee payment instructions were straightforward. The onboarding phase was smooth and stress-free.

Academic: Following the IIT pattern, this college feels similar to other IITs. Passing exams is not hard, but scoring high marks is tough. Teachers are excellent; many have done PhDs from top global universities. They provide full support with labs, classes, and extra doubt-solving sessions.

Placement: From my experience, placements here are really good. Last year, almost 85 percent of students got jobs. Big companies like Google, Microsoft, DE Shaw, Arista Networks, Warner Bros., Inmobi, Zomato, Sprinklr, and Avalara come to recruit for good positions. Many students also get offers from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys, Global Logic, and HCL. Even government companies, like PSUs such as HPCL and BPCL, hire from our college.

Campus: Truthfully, this college follows the same IIT pattern as other campuses. Passing exams is manageable, but getting high marks is tough. Teachers are outstanding, with many holding PhDs from top global universities. They provide excellent labs, regular classes, and extra doubt sessions whenever needed.

Admission: Continuing the admission stages after JEE Advanced, the JoSAA counselling and seat allocation for IIT Mandi were transparent. Online document checks were quick, fee submission was simple, and pre-orientation communication was clear and supportive.

Academic: Evaluating the exams, they are neither too easy nor too hard, just balanced. Almost everyone passes them. Teachers are smart and very helpful, teaching all topics properly so students are ready for industry work.

Placement: Many students from our college prefer to go for higher studies instead of placements. That's why not many students actually sit for campus interviews. But still, whoever does sit for placements, they usually get the jobs they really want. In my specific course, the average salary package is around 7-8 Lacs. This is all I really know about the placements.

Campus: Generally, the exams are balanced, neither extremely easy nor very hard. Most students pass them without issues. Teachers teach everything properly and make sure we understand concepts needed for future industry roles.

Admission: The exams and labs here are pretty intense, but the teachers are really helpful and know their stuff. Some of them even taught abroad! They update the course every year to make sure we're ready for the industry. The semester tests are tough, aiming for a 5 CGPA to pass.

Placement: I'm stoked that almost 80% of students from our batch got placed through campus placements this year. A lot of them even snagged internships. The highest salary offered was 26 LPA for electrical engineering, while the lowest was 6 LPA. Big names like TATA and Bhel come for recruiting here. They offer roles like senior electrical engineering. Plus, we can also aim for other civil exams since it's a core branch. Cool stuff!

Campus: I really like all the stuff IIT Mandi provides. In the classrooms, they have room heaters. And in the hostels, there's Wi-Fi and LAN ports. Each floor even has a study room. The library has tons of books to help out. The hostel is pretty cool too they have fridges, microwaves, and even an iron on each floor. The food is just okay, nothing too special. But there are lots of games to play, and they even have an annual sports meet. I love that they have mountain biking too, so you can learn to ride in the mountains. It's pretty awesome!

Admission: The teachers know a lot, but they might not always help a lot. You gotta take charge of your own learning because just depending on them might not be enough. The mechanical classes were tough for us in 2021 at first, but they made it easier later on.

Placement: So, in January 2024, about half of my batch from 2020 got jobs. If you're into Mechanical Engineering, there are cool options waiting for you in big companies like General Aeronautics, Velankani Information, and Larsen and Turbo. And hey, there are even non-core jobs out there in consultancy firms if that's more your thing. Great opportunities all around!

Campus: The campus buildings are just okay. Sometimes the Wi-Fi goes out because of landslides messing up the cables. The laundry machines are usually not great. The food in the cafeteria is just okay too. But there are some good spots to grab a quick bite, like fast food, lunch, dinner, and pizza.

Admission: The professors are smart, but the teaching isn't great since it's a public college. I mostly rely on YouTube to understand stuff. They make us attend 75% of classes to sit for exams.

Placement: Everyone in our course got a job. The best salary offer was 60 LPA, the lowest was 14 LPA, and the average was 24 LPA. Punj Lloyd is the top company hiring from our course. About 70% of us got internships. You can also aim for government jobs after this course.

Campus: The college has good infrastructure. Classrooms, hostels, and the library all have fast Wi-Fi. Hostel rooms are nice and each has a table. The food in the mess isn't great, but breakfast is good. The canteen serves tasty food. Medical facilities are okay.

Admission: The teachers here really know their stuff and they're super helpful. They're getting us ready for the real world. The semester exams are a good challenge, not too easy or too hard. But most students manage to pass.

Placement: Most students here aim for further studies, while only a few go for jobs. But those who do get the job they want. In my course, the average package is around 7-8 Lakhs. That's all I know, so please don't ask me for more details.

Campus: The college campus has all the facilities we need. Hostels, labs, and the whole area have Wi-Fi. The library stays open until midnight. The classrooms are comfy and nice. The hostels are great too. You can find almost everything you need in the hostels.
