Admission: Application for IIT BHU felt streamlined because JoSAA guided seat allocation well and the online verification was quick before the campus registration and orientation.
Academic: Academics can be hard here, especially in metallurgy and mechanical. Professors are qualified but many students don't understand their explanations, so most of us end up learning from YouTube. Getting good grades is also difficult because marks aren't given easily.
Placement: Metallurgy placements here are strong, almost 80-85% students get placed, which is quite high across IITs. In Metallurgy IDD, 18 out of 23 students got jobs and 2 went for higher studies. Around five students even joined core companies like Jindal Steel. Anyone serious about placements usually succeeds.
Campus: In first year, PC Ray Hostel felt the best among all IIT hostels, with spacious rooms, big corridors, LAN and Wi-Fi, washing machines, and vending machines. Mess food is just okay, but nearby canteens are much better.

Campus: Food quality at IIT BHU is good, with new items daily. Hostel facilities work well, and Wi-Fi is available everywhere. Sports and medical help are available too. However, the general infrastructure looks old, classrooms are not great, and lab machines are outdated.
