Admission: The teachers at my college are really helpful and know their stuff well. They teach us in a way that's easy to understand. The courses we take are right in line with what the industry needs. It helps us show off our skills in a tough job market.
Placement: Most students in my college get jobs after they graduate. The big companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Wipro, TCS, and Deloitte come here to hire students. Last year, the highest salary offered was 32 LPA, while the average was around 12 LPA. Some students got internships too - about 95% of us did. Even though some got lower salaries like 4 LPA, most of us are happy with the opportunities here.
Campus: The college campus is really clean and well-maintained. I live in a hostel with fully furnished rooms that are super clean. The food is good with no repeats, and the mess and canteen are also clean. Plus, there are lots of sports facilities for both indoor and outdoor games.

Admission: The teachers here are nice, but not all of them know their stuff well. The teaching isn't great for getting into higher studies. They don't cover everything you need for exams like GATE. The semester tests are okay, and most students pass with a 90 percent rate. The lectures and modules only cover about 60 percent of what you need to know.
Placement: Most students got placed, which is great. The highest salary offered was 19.45 Lacs per year, lowest was 6 Lacs per year, and the average was 8 Lacs per year. Big companies like BPCL, HPCL, Vedanta, and Tata come for placements. Almost all students get internships. Our course offers roles like manufacturing engineer, thermal engineer, and designer.
Campus: So, we're moving to the new campus in December, which is official. The Wi-Fi there is great, and the labs and classrooms are awesome. The hostel rooms are pretty good too. The library is a bit small but it's alright for the number of students we have. However, the food isn't that great. On the bright side, sports and games are fun.

Admission: The teachers were nice and really supportive. But we can't rely on them alone to get us ready for the job market we gotta put in our own effort too. They've updated the course to match the new education rules, so that's a plus. The exams were a breeze, and if we show up to class and study a bit before, we can easily keep our grades above 8.5.
Placement: I felt a bit disappointed with the placements at NIT Meghalaya. They've been kind of average, or even below average, for the past couple of years. This year, the placements were pretty lackluster. None of the big IT companies showed up for on-campus hiring. It seemed like most students with good packages either found them off-campus or had offers from their internships.
Campus: I'm excited that our college is relocating to a new campus in February 2025. The new location in Sohra, Cherapunji is really beautiful. The campus is brand new with modern furniture and facilities. The food at the mess is okay, but I think it will get better once we move to the new campus. Can't wait for the change!

Admission: The teachers are really cool and know their stuff. Some of them are from other countries. The electronics and communication engineering program has lots of cool choices like VLSI, microwave, computer algebra, and more. They also talk about government jobs. Exams are kind of hard, but if you pay attention in class every day, you'll be fine.
Placement: Most students here land jobs after graduation, around 80-90%. Microsoft gave the biggest offer of INR 52 LPA. The lowest offer was INR 5.2 LPA, with an average of INR 12.8 LPA. Companies like Microsoft, Infosys, L&T, BPCL, and TVS hire a lot of students. The research areas cover things like VLSI, computer algebra, cognitive radio, antenna design, wireless sensors, and sensor processing.
Campus: I really liked staying at this hostel! It's better than other NIT hostels because the Wi-Fi is always free and the food in the mess is good. They have a gym, a 24/7 medical facility nearby, and both indoor and outdoor games. They even provide all the game equipment you need. Plus, the playground is super close to the hostel, which is awesome!

Admission: The teachers at NIT Meghalaya are really cool. They are friendly and helpful. I think the courses for Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, and Mechanical Engineering are good. But Computer Science curriculum needs an update. The exams for CSE are easier compared to other branches. Overall, studying here is not too hard. If you put in some effort, you can do well.
Placement: Placements at NIT Meghalaya have improved compared to last year. Most of the good placements were in the mechanical section on campus. For IT, placements were mostly off campus. Our placements really depend on how well we do.
Campus: The hostel has nice facilities, but the three-person rooms are a bit tight. The veg food is okay, but the non-veg food is tastier. There are a couple of canteens, but they're getting bigger. We go to Ramkrishna School or the medical emergency building on campus for health needs. And there are always two ambulances around. The sports stuff is getting better, with indoor games like table tennis, a badminton court, and a cricket field.

Admission: The teachers are really helpful and the quality of education is good. The exams aren't as tough as in other top colleges. If you study well, passing is pretty doable. There's a mid-term exam worth 50 marks, an end-term exam worth 100 marks, two class tests worth 15 marks each, and two assignments worth 10 marks each.
Placement: Placements at NIT Meghalaya aren't great, especially for electronics and communication engineering students. Not many companies visit for placements in this field. But you can try your luck with off-campus placements instead.
Campus: The Wi-Fi in the lab, campus, and hostel works, but the campus Wi-Fi isn't fully set up yet. They're still working on it. The food is just alright, not great, but it's okay enough. Hopefully, it gets better with time. The library isn't as top-notch as other colleges like IITs and NITs, but it's okay.

Admission: The teachers here are really good and know their stuff. They're always there to help out whenever we need it. The classes are interesting and actually relate to what we're learning. Most students pass with a 90% rate, and we have exams every semester.
Placement: I wanted to share about the companies that recruited students from my batch. We had big names like IBM, Power Grind, Microsoft, Tata, and Bosch coming in. They mostly offered jobs as developers and testers. The highest package was from TRC at INR 45 lakhs per year. On average, students in our batch got around INR 6.5 lakhs per year.
Campus: The campus is awesome! They've got Wi-Fi, big rooms, clean bathrooms, a library, an auditorium, and even a hospital. Plus, there's a hostel and the food in the mess and canteen is really good and clean. And we've got courts for football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, and badminton. It's all here!

Admission: The teachers here are top-notch, they come from really good schools. They're super nice and always ready to help you out. The course is pretty much like the NET GATE syllabus, which is cool cause I can study for both at the same time. The college exams are alright, most people pass them without any problems.
Placement: There are now 20 seats available for the M.Sc program. The faculty is really helpful and supports us with everything from career advice to preparing for exams like NET GATE. Companies like Physics Wallah and Allen often hire M.Sc students, which is awesome.
Campus: The campus and hostel have Wi-Fi all day, which is great for fast internet. There's a regular library and an e-library with Wi-Fi where you can use computers. Hostel rooms are nicer than I thought they'd be. The food in the mess is pretty good too.

Admission: The teachers and staff are really helpful and the teaching is good overall. But if you're preparing for the GATE exam, you might need to take some online courses because the teaching here might not be up to par for that. The semester exams aren't too tough, so if you study a little, you should be fine. Your grades depend on how well you do in class.
Placement: Placements in the ECE department aren't great. There are only a few placements available. The highest package is around 40 LPA, and the average package is about 1012 LPA. I'm not sure which companies come for recruitment. It's also hard to get an internship.
Campus: The labs, classrooms, and lecture halls are nice. The hostels are good too. But if you're from the north or west of India and like vegetarian food, you might not be too happy. They mostly serve non-vegetarian food here. Also, there aren't any nearby restaurants or shops around.

Admission: The professors here are really helpful and supportive. They know a lot and put in a lot of effort into their own studies. This helps us students in our M.Sc and Ph.D. programs. The exams each semester aren't too hard, so studying regularly for good grades isn't too tough.
Placement: Mostly, engineering students get placed after college around 70% of them. They land jobs in IT, electronics, and some PSU sectors. The average salary is 5 LPA. Big companies like BPCL and L&T come for placements. However, M.Sc students don't have as many opportunities.
Campus: The library has books for all our courses, but there aren't enough books, so we can't keep them for long. The Wi-Fi in college is good, but sometimes the hostel Wi-Fi is slow. The food in the mess isn't great, but hey, it's hostel food after all.
