1 Nov, 2025 : NTA JEE Main 2026 Registration has started. The National Testing Agency (NTA) opened the registration process on October 31, 2025, through the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in.

NIT Meghalaya offers well-structured hostel facilities designed to ensure a comfortable and safe living environment for its students. The institute has a total of six hostels, including five for boys and one exclusively for girls, providing accommodation options with single, double, triple, and quadruple rooms. Hostels come equipped with essential amenities like 24/7 electricity, continuous water supply, Wi-Fi, etc. The hostel offers a variety of amenities such as secure accommodations, mess facilities, transportation, and medical support, all structured with clear fee guidelines to ensure transparency and convenience for students and parents.

NIT Meghalaya Hostel Fee Structure

The NIT Meghalaya hostel fees includes both one-time and semester-wise charges. At the time of admission, students are required to pay a one-time admission fee of INR 500 along with a hostel caution deposit of INR 5,000, which is refundable, bringing the initial subtotal to INR 5,500. For each semester, the hostel seat rent is INR 7,500 for BTech, MSc, and MTech students, while it is INR 5,000 for PhD students.

The fee structure includes a one-time admission fee and a refundable hostel caution deposit, followed by semester-wise charges for seat rent, transportation, electricity, water, and mess advances. The mess advance fee is adjusted or refunded after the semester based on actual consumption, ensuring fair billing.
