TNNLU Admission 2026 is conducted for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M. (Business Law), Ph.D. in Law, and the newly introduced Post Graduate Diploma in Financial & Legal Practice (PGDFLP) programmes. All TNNLU admissions for UG and PG programmes are based on valid CLAT scores, followed by centralized counselling conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities.

 

For UG programmes, candidates must hold a 10+2 qualification with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) and a valid CLAT UG score. For LL.M. admission, candidates must hold an LLB or BA LLB degree with at least 55% marks (50% for SC/ST) and a valid CLAT PG score. Ph.D. admission requires an LLM degree with 55% marks along with a research proposal and interview. The PGDFLP admission process and dates for 2026–27 are available on the official TNNLU website.

TNNLU LL.M. admission 2026 is based on CLAT PG scores. The LL.M. (Business Law) runs for 1 year across 2 semesters and covers corporate law, IP law, banking and finance law, competition law, and international trade law. Once CLAT counselling rounds are completed, TNNLU issues a separate notification for any remaining vacant LL.M. seats. The PGDFLP is a new programme for 2026-27. TNNLU Admission 2026 (Ph.D.)

TNNLU Ph.D. admission 2026 is for full-time doctoral research only; no part-time option is available. Candidates must hold an LLM with at least 55% marks and submit a research proposal with the application. Shortlisted candidates present their proposal before TNNLU's doctoral committee and attend an interview. Ph.D. admission notifications are published on tnnlu.ac.in under the Research section.
