VESIT Admission Process 2025

The admission process for 2025 in the undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the current academic session is automated and unbiased for all students by Vivekanand Education Society's Institute of Technology.

1. Eligibility Criteria: To appear for the examination, one has to pass 10+2 with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in physics, mathematics and chemistry/computer science and have an MSE CET or JEE Main score.
2. Entrance Exam Requirement:

VESIT takes in students primarily through MHT-CET for the students of Maharashtra or through JEE Main for the students of All India Quota who opt to join B.E. programs at VESIT.

3. CAP Registration: To be eligible for centralized admission, the applicant has to register online at the Maharashtra CET Cell portal, fill in his personal and academic details, upload documents, enter entrance exam scores, and more.
4. Merit List Preparation: CET Cell prepares a merit list according to MHT-CET or JEE scores and based on which rank and Eligibility of candidates are determined for seat allotments in the CAP round.
5. CAP Rounds Participation:

Students enroll in CAP Rounds I, II, and III by indicating their course and college preference and a seat assignment is done based on merit, preference, and availability.

6. Seat Confirmation Process:

After the selection of candidates, they are allotted a seat and once a candidate is allotted a seat, s/he has to confirm admission by reporting the college allotted to him, verifying the documents and paying the fees within the stipulated time.

7. Institute-Level Admissions:

For vacant seats after CAP rounds, VESIT conducts institute-level admission for vacant seats with eligibility through merit and verification of documents directly applied to the college.

8. Minority Quota: VESIT reserves seats under the Sindhi Minority Quota. Minority-status applicants are required to indicate applying and submit valid copies of the scorecard separately through the institute’s portal.
9. Documents Verification: All the documents of admission like mark sheets, entrance score card, caste certificates (if applicable), domicile proof and identity proof have to be verified at the time of admission.
10. Final Admission Confirmation: Admission is confirmed only after verification and validation of the documents, receipt of the fee, and the candidate’s name in the final list released by the institute or CET Cell.
