Arka Jain University, Jamshedpur is a private university set up in the year 2017 by Jharkhand State Legislature through "The ARKA JAIN University Act" and is approved by UGC. It is the first private state university of the Kolhan region (which consists of three districts) of the state. The university is affiliated and approved by AICTE, BCI, PCI, OCI, INC, JNRC, AIU, ASCO. The University is presently the first NAAC Grade "A" private state university in Bihar, Jharkhand & west Bengal. It is an ISO Certified "Educational Organization Management System" University and an active member of Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Arka Jain University has more than 5000+ students and 175-plus Faculty members.

There are seven schools at the University, which are imparting over 30 courses of study in numerous streams including engineering, technology, management, commerce, pharmacy, optometry, biotechnology, English, mass communication, fashion designing, law, nursing at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate levels. The entry in the University's courses is either on the basis of the candidate's performance at the last qualifying examination or on the basis of the candidate's performance at national/state entrance examination.

Arka Jain University provides engineering, business, science, and law courses. Admission is on the basis of merit and entrance tests such as AJUCET, JCECB, or CAT.
