Government College of Engineering Karad was established in 1960 as an autonomous technical institute in the state of Maharashtra. The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research level programs at present such as B.Tech., M.Tech., MCA and Ph.D.
Seating: Seats shall be allocated as per performance in the relevant entrance examination- JEE/ GATE. Selection: The final authority in selecting shall be DTE only.

Government College of Engineering Karad accepts admissions in its B.Tech. streams based on the results of performance in JEE Advanced, which is held as an entrance examination conducted across the nation by all IITs together. Students required to be qualified 10+2 with science stream.
It is a 3-hour question paper comprising 90 questions related to the subject concerned for the engineering stream.
For the purposes of admission, each subject: Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics carries equal value.
The questions are objective type.

For those applicants who want to apply under Maharashtra State category, applicants have to be an Indian citizen and must have passed 10+2 from Maharashtra State Board.
