MHT CET 2025 Counselling is ongoing at cetcell.mahacet.org. The counselling registration window will close on 8th July, 2025. The CET Cell of Maharashtra initiated the document verification process today, 30th June 2025. The conducting authority released the MHT CET Result 2025 for PCB on 17th June. The PCM result was declared on 16th June. The first merit list for MHT CET 2025 will be released on 12th July. MHT CET 2025 Result for PCM and PCB groups was published on the official website between 16th and 17th June. Alongside the results, the list of MHT CET 2025 toppers has been published, with 22 students achieving a perfect 100th percentile in the PCM group.

 

MHT CET 2025 Exam for PCM group was held between 19th to 27th April, 2025. The PCB exam was conducted from 9th April to 17th April, 2025. The CET Cell of Maharashtra held the MHT CET re-exam on the 5th May for candidates who faced issues during the 27th April exam. The re-exam was conducted due to a major error in 21 out of 50 Mathematics questions in that day’s paper.

MHT CET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The conducting authority has specific eligibility requirements that students must fulfil before applying for MHT CET registrations. The detailed descriptions of the MHT CET 2025 Eligibility Criteria are presented below:

 

Candidates of any age can apply for the MHT CET exam, as there is no minimum or upper age requirement. Apart from that, candidates must meet the following criteria to take the exam:

  • Indian citizenship is mandatory,
  • Must have passed the 12th grade (or equivalent) exams with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognised board. Students appearing in 12th-grade exams are also eligible.
  • A minimum of 45% marks in Class 12 are required (40% for reserved category candidates)

Note: Non-Maharashtra Indian citizens are not required to take the MET CET to enter a Maharashtra institution. However, they must meet other admission criteria, such as a non-zero JEE (Main) BE/BTech or NEET score.

 

MHT CET 2025 Application Procedure

Maharashtra CET Cell closed the MHT CET Registration 2025 on 27th February. Candidates could submit the application form with late fees till 28th February 2025. After the conclusion of the application process, the conducting body opened the form correction window. The last date for MHT CET 2025 Form Correction was 12th March 2025. A details step-by-step guide on the application process has been provided below:

 

1) Go to the official website at cetcell.mahacet.org.

 

2) Next, candidates should complete the registration process by selecting ‘New Registration’.

 

3) In the next step, candidates must complete the form by entering their academic and personal details.

 

4) After that candidate should upload all the necessary documents.

 

5) Next, the candidate must conclude the process by paying the application fee.

 

6) In the final stage, candidates must save the application for future reference.

MHT CET 2025 Exam Pattern

As per the MHT CET 2025 Exam Pattern, the paper is divided into three parts. Each paper is 90 minutes long. Maths questions carry two marks each, while all other subjects carry 1 mark for each question. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions only, and there is no negative marking. Students who had opted for PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) appeared for Paper 2 and Paper 3, while those who chose PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) took Paper 1 and Paper 2.

MHT CET 2025 Syllabus is based on the Maharashtra Board’s Class 11 and 12 syllabus. Approximately 20% of the questions are based on Class 11 topics, while the remaining 80% are from Class 12. MHT CET 2025 Answer Key (PCM & PCB)

MHT CET 2025 Answer key for the PCM group was released on 22nd May, while the PCB group's answer key was made available earlier, on 17th May. Candidates were able to check their respective answer keys by logging in to cetcell.mahacet.org.

 

The objection window for the PCB answer key was open from 19th May to 21st May, and for the PCM group, the challenge facility was available from 22nd to 24th May. After reviewing the objections submitted by candidates, the CET Cell accepted a total of 40 valid objections, leading to the award of full marks in those questions. These included 7 in Physics, 4 in Chemistry, 28 in Mathematics, and 1 in Biology.

MHT CET 2025 Counselling (Ongoing)

MHT CET 2025 counselling registration will end on July 8, 2025. All eligible candidates who cleared the exam are invited to take part in the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) after the results are declared. The process usually takes place in three to four rounds, based on seat availability, and is carried out in different phases.

 

Phase 1: Online Registration and Document Upload

  • Candidates must register on the official CET Cell website at mahacet.org.
  • During registration, candidates fill in personal, contact, academic (Class 10 & 12 marks, board name, etc.), and exam details.
  • A password needs to be created during registration.
  • After submitting details, candidates must upload scanned copies of the required documents, including:
    • Photograph (4KB to 100KB, 3.5×4.5 cm)
    • Signature (1KB to 30KB, 3.5×1.5 cm)
