Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, located in Prayagraj (MNNIT), is dedicated to delivering high-quality academic excellence. Established in 1961, it was one of the first seventeen Regional Engineering Colleges in India, created through a collaboration between the Government of India and the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Initially, it was affiliated with the University of Allahabad, one of the oldest universities in the country. For a brief period between 2000 and 2002, the Institute was associated with U.P. Technical University. With over 45 years of experience and significant accomplishments in technical education, it transitioned to the status of a National Institute of Technology in June 2002 and became a Deemed University, receiving full funding from the Government of India. Following the enactment of the National Institutes of Technology Act in 2007, the Institute was designated as an institution of national importance effective August 15, 2007.
