Sardar Patel Institute of Technology also commonly known as SPIT Mumbai was inaugurated in 1962. It is an autonomous research and engineering institute associated with the Mumbai University. SPIT Mumbai is ranked #82 in India and #4 in Mumbai in B.Tech category as per Ranking. SPIT offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees in engineering and computer applications.
SPIT Mumbai offers BTech as its flagship course. Admissions to the same are majorly conducted through MHT-CET entrance examination followed by counselling. Admission to other courses are granted on the basis of scores obtained in entrance exams such as MHT-MCA-CET for MCA admission and GATE for MTech.
