Tamil Nadu National Law University (TNNLU) established its Alumni Association in January 2021 under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) V.S. Elizabeth, who serves as the Patron of the association. The first cohort of B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) students graduated in 2018, followed by the inaugural batches of B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) and Postgraduate programs in 2019. By August 2022, TNNLU had produced five batches of B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) graduates and four batches each from the B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.) and Postgraduate programs.

The Alumni Association serves as a platform for former students to engage with the university community, contributing to academic and professional development. Alumni participate in initiatives such as the "Opportunities Ahead" program, a bi-monthly talk series offering career guidance to current students.
