Punjab B.Pharm admission is based on the qualifying Punjab University Common Entrance Test (PU CET), organised by Panjab University, Chandigarh. The candidate has to complete their 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry, and either Biology or Mathematics, obtaining a minimum of 45% marks from a recognized board. PU CET UG is an offline entrance exam organised once a year to assess candidates through multiple-choice questions related to the B.Pharm course.

Punjab BPharm Eligibility Criteria

Candidates pursuing B Pharma in Punjab must meet the eligibility criteria as mentioned below:

  • To be eligible, a candidate must have passed Class 12 from an accredited board with a combination of English, Physics, Chemistry, and any one of the following subjects either Mathematics or Biology or Biotechnology.
  • An overall minimum of 45% marks is essential for a general candidate, while 40% or more marks are required for candidates belonging to reserved categories and PwD.
  • Eligible candidates must be 17 years of age on or before December.
  • Candidates with a Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) are also eligible to apply if they have obtained a score of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC).

Punjab BPharm Admission Process

The admission process for the Panjab University B Pharma is based on an entrance examination, and candidates begin by filling out online application forms for the PU CET UG exam on the university's official website. After submitting the application and uploading documents, and paying the required fees, the candidates need to attend the PU CET B Pharmacy entrance examination.

 

Application Process

  1. To apply online for PU CET UG, candidates have to visit the official Panjab University website by entering their name, email, and mobile number.
  2. Applicants will then fill in the application form along with academic and personal information.
  3. Then, scan all required documents like marksheets, a photograph, a signature, and certificates, and attach them to the application form.
  4. The application fee can be paid online through Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, or Demand Draft.
  5. After this process is complete, candidates will receive PU CET UG admit cards from the university portal after registering and paying their fees. The admit card will be required to gain entry into the examination hall.

Admission Process

  1. Attend the PU CET UG entrance exam as per the schedule. The exam checks for knowledge in Physics, Chemistry, and either Biology or Maths, depending on which the students have opted for.
  2. Check the website for results, and also check for published merit lists. Counselling shall be offered only to those candidates who qualify.
  3. Fill Admission Form & Choice Filling Shortlisted candidates shall fill the separate admission form and submit online their preferences for colleges and courses.
  4. Candidates must be Present for counselling, with all the required original documents (i.e., 10th & 12th mark sheet, admit card, rank card, photographs, category certificate if any) for verification.
  5. In case you are given a seat, report to the assigned college/department within the stipulated time. Pay the admission fee online/offline to reserve your seat; otherwise, your admission will be cancelled.
