B.Tech Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, also known as Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering or simply, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE), is a specialized undergraduate course. This four-year, eight-semester program provides students with the best technological knowledge in electronic devices and applications, VLSI technologies, and sensors to help them become experts in IoT & Embedded Systems Design and Industrial Automation & Control.

 

The Eligibility criteria for BTech EIE is that the candidate must have done 10+2 with an aggregate of 50% with core subjects being Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics. B.Tech Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering Admission Process 2025

The admission process for most of the institutes is almost similar. For reference, the admission process for enrolling in the BTech EIE at BITS Pilani is as follows:

 

Step 1: Candidates will need to register for the BITSAT entrance examination. The form will be available on the official website of the institution. Fill out the form by filling in the required details, and submit it by paying the application fee.

 

Step 2: Take the entrance examination on the scheduled date and time. Candidates must give their best and try to score the maximum marks.

 

Step 3: After the results are declared, check the score or rank.

 

Step 4: The college will release a merit list of candidates who are shortlisted for admission, depending on the marks obtained in the BITSAT examination.

 

Step 5: The shortlisted candidates will have to appear at the college campus for document verification. Upon successful document verification, the candidates will be granted provisional admission.

 

Step 6: The provisionally selected candidates will have to pay the first installment of the course fee to finally book their seat in the selected course. The institute will verify the payment and then provide the admission offer letter.
