Update on 23 Oct, 2026, 03:31 PM IST

Symbiosis International (Deemed University) is conducting the second official SNAP 2026 mock test, Mock Test 2, on 23 October 2026, with the test window open from 12 noon to 9 PM. As per the official mock test instructions on snaptest.org, candidates who paid the SNAP 2026 fee by 22 October 2026, 11:59 PM, are eligible. The username is “SNAP” followed by the SNAP ID, and the password is SNAP2026.

It comes seven weeks before the SNAP 2026 tests on 13, 19 and 26 December and is a chance to practise the revised four-section pattern, which adds a new Ethics, Morality and Values section. For the full exam overview, see the SNAP 2026 exam page. The mock score is for practice only and has no effect on the final SNAP 2026 score.

Key takeaways

  • SNAP Mock Test 2 is open on 23 October from 12 noon to 9 PM for candidates who paid by 22 October; the username is SNAP plus your SNAP ID, and the password is SNAP2026.
  • The 2026 paper adds a 10-question Ethics, Morality and Values section; General English and Reasoning drop by five questions each.
  • With −0.25 for a wrong answer, guessing breaks even at just 20% accuracy, so attempt any question where you can eliminate one option.
  • At 85% accuracy, attempting 50 questions instead of 40 adds about 8 marks.
  • No official SIBM Pune or SCMHRD cutoff exists; published estimates range from the 94th to the 99th percentile.

SNAP Mock Test 2 Login and Password: How to Take the Test

  1. Find the mock test link in the SMS, WhatsApp message or email sent to your SNAP-registered contact details.
  2. Open the link between 12 noon and 9 PM on 23 October.
  3. Enter your username (SNAP plus your SNAP ID) and the password SNAP2026.
  4. Start well before 8 PM. The window closes at 9 PM, so a late login may not leave enough time to finish the full 60 minutes.
  5. If the test shuts down because of a connection problem, log in again with the same credentials. As per the instructions, your progress is saved. If the problem continues, SIU advises switching to a different device, logging in again and resuming. For the latest notices, see the SNAP 2026 Mock Test 2 news update.

What Changed in the SNAP 2026 Pattern

The total stays at 60 questions in 60 minutes, but SIU has cut General English and Reasoning by five questions each to make room for a new 10-question Ethics, Morality and Values (EMV) section. The 2026 structure is from SIU’s official test structure page; the earlier counts are as reported by test-prep publishers, since SIU’s page now shows only the 2026 structure. More on the change: SNAP 2026 exam pattern changed.

Official SNAP Test 2026 structure table on snaptest.org: General English 10, Analytical and Logical Reasoning 20, Quantitative, Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency 20, Ethics, Morality and Values 10, total 60 questions and 60 marks

Source: snaptest.org/snap-exam-syllabus, SNAP Test 2026 structure

Bar chart comparing SNAP 2025 and SNAP 2026 question counts: General English 15 to 10, Analytical and Logical Reasoning 25 to 20, Quantitative DI and DS unchanged at 20, and the new Ethics, Morality and Values section with 10 questions

SNAP 2026 cuts five questions each from English and Reasoning to add a 10-question Ethics, Morality and Values section.

What the numbers mean:

  • English and Reasoning together fall from two-thirds of the paper to half. Candidates who relied on scoring heavily in these two sections now have 10 fewer questions to do it with.
  • Quant, DI and DS is now tied for the largest section. At one-third of the paper, it carries as much weight as Reasoning.
  • EMV is worth as much as all of General English. It is also the only section with no previous-year SNAP papers to practise from, which makes the official mocks the closest preview of its question style.
  • Previous-year papers from 2020 to 2025 are now partly outdated. They have no EMV section and more English and Reasoning questions than the 2026 paper, but they remain useful for English, Reasoning and Quant practice; see the SNAP question papers page.

What the Ethics, Morality and Values Section Tests

SIU’s official test structure lists the section with 10 questions at 1 mark each, but its structure page does not give a detailed syllabus. Test-prep publishers describe it as scenario-based questions on ethical judgement: integrity, fairness, honesty and responsible decision-making in workplace or everyday situations.

Until SIU publishes more detail, the official mocks are the best guide. When answering a scenario question:

  • Identify who is affected and what rule, duty or commitment is involved.
  • Prefer the option that is lawful, transparent and fair to everyone affected, over the one that is merely convenient.
  • Avoid overthinking: at about 40 seconds a question, this section should take around 7 minutes.

SNAP Scoring Strategy: What −0.25 Negative Marking Really Means

SNAP’s negative marking is light. A wrong answer costs a quarter of what a right answer earns, which changes the maths of guessing.

The break-even accuracy is just 20%. On any question where you can rule out even one option, attempting it has a positive expected value. Leaving questions blank only makes sense when time is the constraint.

Net Score by Attempts and Accuracy

Expected net score = correct answers − 0.25 × wrong answers, out of 60. These are expected values at a constant accuracy rate (for example, 85% of 35 attempts is 29.75 correct), so they are illustrative rather than exact possible scores.

Heatmap of SNAP net scores out of 60 by questions attempted (35 to 50) and accuracy (80 to 90 percent), ranging from 26.3 at 35 attempts and 80 percent accuracy to 43.8 at 50 attempts and 90 percent accuracy

Moving down the grid (more attempts) raises the expected net score faster than moving right (higher accuracy).

Going from 40 to 50 attempts at 85% accuracy adds about 8 marks (40.6 − 32.5), against 2.5 marks for raising accuracy from 85% to 90% at 40 attempts. In practice, the extra 10 questions are usually the harder ones, so accuracy on them will be lower; even at 50% accuracy on those 10, the gain is about 3.75 marks (5 correct − 5 × 0.25). Extra attempts pay off as long as accuracy on them stays well above 20%. Use Mock Test 2 to see how many questions you reach in 60 minutes and how accurate your last 10 attempts are.

Suggested Time Plan for 60 Minutes

This is a suggested plan, not an SIU rule. The official mock instructions allow candidates to move between sections freely. Attempting EMV and English first can bank quick marks before the calculation-heavy sections.

SIBM Pune and SCMHRD SNAP Cutoff: What the Estimates Show

SIU does not publish a single SNAP cutoff. Each institute sets its own shortlisting percentile for the GE-PIWAT round. The figures commonly quoted online are estimates from education portals, and they disagree:

Compiled from estimates published by Careers360, Shiksha, Collegedunia, CollegeDekho and others. These are not official SIU data.

The same sources also publish conflicting score-to-percentile tables. One maps 41–42 marks to about the 98th percentile; another maps 44 or more to the 99.5th; a third places 50–60 marks at the 99th–99.9th percentile. No mock-test score can be converted into a reliable percentile.

A practical way to read your Mock Test 2 score: the published estimates place SIBM Pune and SCMHRD between the 94th and 99th percentile, roughly the top 1–6% of test-takers. Since no score-to-percentile conversion is reliable, compare your mock score with your own earlier mocks rather than with a cutoff number. Institute-wise trends are on the SNAP cutoff page, and the SIBM Pune process is covered in SIBM Pune MBA admission 2027 via SNAP.

How to Review Your Mock Test 2 Score

The mock shows your score after you click End Test and then View Result. Before closing the results page, note these numbers:

Keep an error log of every wrong answer with the reason (concept gap, calculation slip or misread question), and revisit it before each practice test. After each SNAP test in December, check the SNAP answer key page.

SNAP 2026 Important Dates

Official SNAP 2026 important dates on snaptest.org: registration closes 25 November 2026, admit cards on 7, 11 and 18 December, tests on 13, 19 and 26 December 2026, and result on 12 January 2027

A candidate can appear for up to three SNAP tests. As per SIU, the highest score is used for the final percentile calculation, and scores are not normalised across tests; instead, SIU says the three papers are set to be comparable in difficulty. Registration steps and fees are in SNAP registration 2026.

FAQs on SNAP Mock Test 2 2026

What is the password for SNAP Mock Test 2?

The password is SNAP2026. The username is “SNAP” followed by your SNAP ID, as per the official instructions on snaptest.org.

Who can take the SNAP 2026 Mock Test 2?

Candidates who paid the SNAP 2026 fee by 22 October 2026, 11:59 PM.

Does the mock test score count in the final SNAP result?

No. The mock score is only for your reference and has no impact on your SNAP 2026 score or admission.

Is SNAP Mock Test 2 the last official mock?

SIU has not said so. Check snaptest.org for any further mock announcements.

Should I guess on SNAP questions I am unsure about?

With −0.25 for a wrong answer, a guess has a positive expected value even with no elimination, and a much higher one if you can rule out one or two options. Guess when you can eliminate at least one option.

What score is needed for SIBM Pune?

SIU does not publish a fixed figure. Published estimates put the SIBM Pune shortlisting cutoff between the 96th and 99th percentile, and no reliable score-to-percentile conversion exists for 2026.
