AP EAMCET Final answer key 2026 is going to be released soon along with the result. Candidates can download the answer key PDF at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in. The provisional answer key was released on May 25, 2026, by JNTU Kakinada on the official website. Both streams are covered: Engineering (MPC) and Agriculture/Pharmacy (BiPC), with shift-wise keys available for every exam date from May 12 to May 20, 2026. Candidates had until May 27, 2026, to challenge any answer candidates believe is incorrect. The fee was INR 300 per question. After the challenge window closed, APSCHE reviews all objections with an expert committee and releases the final answer key along with results.
Before candidates do anything with the answer key, one critical thing to know: AP EAMCET uses different question sets across shifts, with questions randomised in order. When comparing the response sheet to the answer key, always match by Question ID, not by question serial number. Matching by serial number gives candidates a wrong score calculation.
After checking the rank, candidates can use the AP EAMCET College Predictor 2026 to predict colleges based on their rank.

How to Download AP EAMCET Answer Key 2026?
The portal has two separate sections: one for Engineering (MPC) and one for Agriculture & Pharmacy (BiPC). Download only the key that matches the stream. Downloading the wrong stream's key and comparing answers will give candidates an entirely wrong score.
- Go to cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/EAPCET
- On the homepage, click "Exam Papers and Preliminary AP EAMCET Answer Key 2026"
- Select the stream: Engineering (MPC) or Agriculture/Pharmacy (BiPC)
- Shift-wise answer keys are listed — click the PDF link for the exam date and shift
- The answer key PDF opens — download and save it
- Download the response sheet separately (instructions below) to compare against the key.
How to Download the AP EAMCET 2026 Response Sheet?
The response sheet shows the recorded answers — what the system captured for each question. candidates need this alongside the answer key to calculate the score. Without the response sheet, candidates're guessing. Follow the steps to download the response sheet.
- Visit cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/EAPCET.
- Click "Candidate Response Sheet".
- Enter the Hall Ticket Number and Registration Number.
- the response sheet appears as a PDF.
- Download and keep it open alongside the answer key PDF.
The Question ID Rule — The Most Important Tip on This Page
AP EAMCET is conducted across multiple shifts with different question sets. The questions are randomised in order — the same question may appear as Q.12 in the shift 1 and Q.47 shift 2.
This means: If candidates look at Q.12 in the response sheet and compare it to Q.12 in the answer key PDF, candidates may be comparing two completely different questions.
Always match by Question ID.
Every question has a unique alphanumeric Question ID (e.g., ENG-2026-M-045). the response sheet shows the Question ID candidates answered. The answer key PDF lists answers against the same Question IDs. Match those — not the serial numbers.
Getting this wrong is the #1 reason students miscalculate their AP EAMCET score. If candidates've ever heard "the answer key is wrong" from a student who later found their score matched the official result — this is usually why.
How to Calculate the AP EAMCET 2026 Raw Score?
Candidates can check the marking scheme for AP EAMCET 2026 exam below.
- Correct answer: +1 mark
- Wrong answer: 0 marks (no negative marking)
- Unattempted: 0 marks
Paper structure and maximum marks:
Score calculation:
- Open the response sheet and the answer key side by side
- For each Question ID, check if the recorded answer matches the key
- Count the number of correct answers = the raw score
- Unanswered and wrong answers both count as zero
Example: If candidates answered 145 questions out of 160, got 118 correct and 27 wrong — the raw score = 118 marks. The 27 wrong answers don't deduct anything.

AP EAMCET 2026 Composite Score: How Rank Is Actually Calculated?
Raw score is not what determines the rank. The final rank uses a composite formula:
Composite Score = 75% of AP EAMCET Normalised Marks + 25% of IPE (Class 12) Group Subject Marks
What does "IPE Group Subject Marks" mean?
Only the Class 12 group subjects are considered — for MPC stream: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (including practicals). For BiPC stream: Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology. The total is out of the maximum marks for those group subjects in the board.
Example (MPC student):
- AP EAMCET normalised score: 118 out of 160 → weighted = 118 × 0.75 = 88.5
- IPE group marks: 480 out of 600 → percentage = 80% → weighted = 80 × 0.25 = 20
- Composite Score = 88.5 + 20 = 108.5
This composite score determines the rank. Two students with identical EAMCET raw scores can have different ranks based on their IPE performance.

AP EAMCET 2026 Score Normalisation
AP EAMCET 2026 ran across multiple days and shifts (May 12–20). Different shifts may have had different difficulty levels. Normalisation adjusts scores so no candidate is unfairly penalised for getting a harder shift.
Official normalisation formula:
Normalised Marks = GMS + [(Top Average Global − GMS) / (Top Average Session − SMS)] × (Candidate's Raw Marks − SMS)
Where:
- GMS = Global Mean Score (average across all sessions)
- SMS = Session Mean Score (average of the specific session)
- Top Average Global = Average of top 0.1% of all candidates across all sessions
- Top Average Session = Average of top 0.1% of candidates in the specific session
What this means in plain language:
- If the session was harder than average → the normalised score will be higher than the raw score
- If the session was easier than average → the normalised score may be slightly lower
- The adjustment is typically small (±2–5 marks for most candidates)
- The normalised score, not raw score, is what goes into the composite formula
One edge case: If normalisation results in a negative mark for any individual subject, that subject's mark is treated as zero — but the total is still calculated from all three subjects combined.
AP EAMCET Qualifying Marks 2026
Candidates must meet the minimum threshold to receive a rank and participate in counselling. Candidates can check category-wise AP EAMCET Cutoff marks in the table below.
Note on SC/ST: While there are no minimum qualifying marks, admission is limited to the seats reserved for these categories. An SC/ST candidate with zero marks will appear in the rank list but may not get a seat if reserved seats are already filled by higher-scoring SC/ST candidates.
AP EAMCET Marks vs Rank 2026
Based on 2024–25 patterns. 2026 ranks may vary based on overall cohort performance and normalisation outcomes.

AP EAMCET Answer Key 2026 FAQs
When was the AP EAMCET 2026 answer key released?
The provisional answer key was released on May 25, 2026, at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/EAPCET. The final answer key will be released on June 1, 2026, along with results.
What is the last date to raise objections against AP EAMCET 2026 answer key?
May 27, 2026. The objection window closes on this date. Objections submitted after this date will not be accepted. The fee is INR 300 per question challenged.
How do I download the AP EAMCET 2026 answer key?
Visit cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/EAPCET, then click "Exam Papers and Preliminary Key" → select the stream (MPC or BiPC) → download the PDF for the exam date and shift.
Why should I match Question ID and not question number?
AP EAMCET uses different question sets across shifts with questions in randomised order. The same question appears at different serial positions in different sets. The Question ID is the unique identifier that remains constant regardless of position. Matching by serial number will give candidates an incorrect score.
Is there negative marking in AP EAMCET 2026?
No. Correct answers get +1 mark. Wrong answers and unattempted questions both get 0. Attempt every question.
How is the AP EAMCET rank calculated?
The final rank is based on a composite score: 75% of the AP EAMCET normalised marks + 25% of the Intermediate (Class 12) group subject marks. Normalised marks are used (not raw marks) to account for difficulty variation across shifts.
What are the qualifying marks for AP EAMCET 2026?
General and OBC candidates need at least 25% of maximum marks — which is 40 out of 160. SC and ST candidates have no minimum qualifying mark requirement.
What is normalisation in AP EAMCET?
Normalisation adjusts scores across different exam shifts to ensure fairness. If the shift was harder than average, the normalised score will be higher than the raw score. If easier, it may be marginally lower. The adjustment is small — typically ±2–5 marks for most candidates.
When will the AP EAMCET 2026 result be declared?
June 1, 2026 — on the same day as the final answer key.
What if the portal is not working on answer key release day?
Portal traffic is extremely heavy on release day. Try again after 30–60 minutes. Use a laptop/desktop browser rather than mobile if possible. Both Firefox and Chrome work with the portal. If issues persist beyond 2 hours, contact APSCHE helpdesk.
