AP EAMCET is conducted across multiple shifts with different question sets. The questions are randomised in order — the same question may appear as Q.12 in the shift 1 and Q.47 shift 2.

Only the Class 12 group subjects are considered — for MPC stream: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (including practicals). For BiPC stream: Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology. The total is out of the maximum marks for those group subjects in the board.

AP EAMCET 2026 ran across multiple days and shifts (May 12–20). Different shifts may have had different difficulty levels. Normalisation adjusts scores so no candidate is unfairly penalised for getting a harder shift.

• If the session was harder than average → the normalised score will be higher than the raw score

• The adjustment is typically small (±2–5 marks for most candidates)
• The normalised score, not raw score, is what goes into the composite formula

One edge case: If normalisation results in a negative mark for any individual subject, that subject's mark is treated as zero — but the total is still calculated from all three subjects combined.
