JEECUP Eligibility Criteria 2025 require candidates to have passed Class 10 or 10+2, depending on the course (group) they are applying for. For Group A (Engineering & Technology diploma), a minimum of 35% marks in Class 10 is mandatory. Group B (Agriculture Engineering) requires passing Class 10, but Class 12 candidates with Agriculture subjects are also eligible. Group E (Pharmacy) requires 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, or Mathematics. Lateral entry candidates (Groups K1 to K8) need an ITI certificate or 10+2 (Science/Vocational stream).

 

The minimum age of the candidates should be 14 (as of 1st July 2025), with no upper age limit. Only Uttar Pradesh domiciled candidates are eligible for reservation benefits in JEECUP 2025 Exam. JEECUP Eligibility Criteria 2025

JEECUP 2025 consists of several courses, each with its own set of eligibility criteria. Candidates can check out the course-wise eligibility criteria below:

 

JEECUP Eligibility Criteria 2025: Educational Qualification

As per JEECUP Eligibility Criteria 2025, Modern Office Management and Library Science (Group D) require English and Hindi at the intermediate level. Lateral entry (Group K) options are available for ITI and vocational pass-outs. Similarly, the Post Graduate Diploma course (Group G) is open to graduates from any stream.

  • 2 Years

Post Graduate Diploma in Biotechnology (Tissue Culture) (Group F)

  • B.Sc. with Biology/Chemistry
  • 1 Year

Post Graduate Diploma course (Group G)

  • Graduate (any stream)
  • 1–2 Years (varies)

Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology (Group H)

  • 10+2 pass with a minimum of 35% marks
  • 3 Years

Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (Group I)

  • 10+2 pass with Physics, Chemistry, Maths with 50% aggregate marks
  • 3 Years

Lateral Entry into the Second Year of Diploma Engineering Course (Group K)

  • Must have passed Class 12 with Science/Professional/Technical Subjects

  • Passed Class 10 with ITI (2-year course) in a relevant subject.
  • 2 Years

 

JEECUP Eligibility 2025: Reservation Criteria

JEECUP 2025 follows the reservation policy of the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The reservation applies only to candidates domiciled in Uttar Pradesh. But candidates belonging to reservation categories should note that they must upload valid category certificates during the application process. As per UP government regulations, these reserved categories are:

JEECUP Eligibility Criteria 2025: Age Limit

Candidates must be at least 14 years old as of 1st July 2025. This applies to all groups and courses. There is no upper age limit, but applicants must meet the academic eligibility criteria prescribed by the examination authority for each course.

 

JEECUP Eligibility Criteria 2025: Nationality

The nationality of JEECUP 2025 candidates must be Indian. Foreign nationals may also be eligible, but they have to produce equivalent educational qualifications recognised by the Government of India. However, foreign candidates must present a valid No Objection Certificate (NOC) at admission.

 

JEECUP Eligibility Criteria 2025: Domicile

For JEECUP 2025 exam, Uttar Pradesh domicile is not mandatory for appearing in the exam, but is needed to receive reservation benefits during seat allotment.
