JEECUP Counselling 2025: Registration, Choice Filling, Seat Acceptance, Document Verification

JEECUP Counselling 2025 will begin in the 1st week of July 2025, shortly after the result declaration. The counselling process of JEECUP 2025 will involve multiple rounds. Round I registration and fee payment will start in the first week of July, and the first seat allotment is expected by the second week of July. Round II will begin in the third week of July for new candidates. The second round seat allotment result will be declared in the fourth week of July, followed by document verification and seat acceptance fee payment. JEECUP Counselling 2025 will be conducted in five to six rounds. However, it may vary according to the number of candidates, their scores and the availability of seats. It is expected that the counselling process (Round 1) will be conducted in the first week of July and will continue till the second week of July. JEECUP Counselling 2025: Seats For Reserved Categories

JEECUP Counselling 2025 will follow the reservation policies implemented by the UP Government. According to the reservation rules, some seats are reserved for different categories under vertical and horizontal reservation policies. Under vertical reservation, 27% of seats are reserved for OBC candidates, 21% for SC, and 2% for ST. In addition, horizontal reservation is applied across candidates from PwD, female, military personnel and freedom fighter categories. The percentage of seats is presented in the table below:

JEECUP Counselling 2025 Steps

The JEECUP Counselling Process 2025 will be conducted entirely online through the official website of JEECUP. It will begin with candidates’ registration, followed by the choice filling and locking stage, where students can select their preferred courses and colleges. The steps are detailed below:

• Registration for Counselling: Candidates need to visit the JEECUP website and log in using their roll number and password. After that they have to pay INR 250 to enlist their names to proceed with the counselling process.
• Preferences for colleges and courses: This is the next phase of registration. During this, candidates must choose the colleges and courses according to their preferences. They can fill in more than one option, and once satisfied with the choices, they need to lock it and wait for the seat allotment process.
• Seat allotment: Candidates whose scores match the JEECUP Cutoff 2025 are allotted seats, but it depends on the availability of seats and the total number of applicants.
• Seat acceptance and fee payment: Candidates need to select one option from the freeze or float. The float option means candidates are still open to accepting seats for other courses during subsequent rounds of counselling. Accordingly, the freeze option means the candidates are accepted for the allotted seats and will not be allowed to opt for other courses in the subsequent rounds of counselling. In this step, candidates need to pay INR 3000 as a seat acceptance fee.
• Document verification: In this phase, candidates are required to visit the district help centres for document verification. They must carry JEECUP admit card and rank card, original copy of mark sheets of qualified examinations, a copy of seat allotment status, domicile certificate, reservation certificate and passport-sized photographs.
• Reporting to the institutes for admission: After successful verification, candidates need to report to the allotted institutes within the given time to complete the admission process. At this stage, students are required to pay the fees of their allotted engineering or pharmacy college to confirm and complete their admission.

To complete the document verification process during JEECUP Counselling 2025, candidates must carry a set of important documents. These include proof of seat allotment, Government ID, academic qualifications, and category (if applicable).
