The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) will release the NIFT 2025 cutoffs at the time of counseling and seat allotment. The NIFT cut offs are different for every campus but a score of 75 our of 100 can be considered good.  

Last year, NIFT released cut offs for four regular and one SPOT seat allotment rounds as part of NIFT counselling. Candidates who met the NIFT cut-off for a particular round were offered admission. Here are a few points you need to know about the NIFT cut-off 2025

• The cutoff of NIFT 2025 will be released after seat allotment is made.
• The cut-off can be checked online at nift.ac.in/admission.
• The cutoff would include the NIFT 2025 opening and closing common merit ranks.
• Note that the cut-offs will be released category-wise and for each of the participating NIFTs.
• Candidates who meet the cut-off rank (or marks) for their chosen program and category only will be considered for admission.
• If a candidate fails to meet the cut-off in a preceding round, then the candidate will be considered for admission in the next seat allotment rounds.
• However, if the candidate fails to meet the cut-off in the last round of allotment, he or she will not get admission.
• The cut-off would be prepared considering factors like seat intake, total applicants, category under which admission is sought, etc. If any of the factors change, the cut-off would also change. For instance, if the seat intake is increased, the cut-off would come down, and vice versa.

How to Check NIFT Cutoff 2025?

The institute-wise NIFT 2025 closing rank or cut-off will be released during counseling and seat allotment. The cut-off will be released for each round of seat allotment. Candidates who meet the cut-off in their chosen course and category will be eligible for admission.

Ans. NIFT Kannur is a government institute. It has a great infrastructure and is equipped with great facilities, well-equipped design studios, a well-stocked library, computer labs, and specialised workshops etc. NIFT Kannur offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs and admission to these courses is based on marks scored in NIFT Entrance Exam. It offers BDes programme for a duration of four years in four specialisations. Candidates are required to appear for NIFT Entrance Exam and the students are accepted on the basis of merit.As per the NIFT Kannur cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank for B.Des ranged between 1084 and 3083 for the General All India category students. Ans. There are 18 participating institutes of NIFT that offer the B. Des programme. Currently, the B. Ans. NIFT cutoff for a participating NIFT is the last rank for which admission is offered in for a particular programme and category. This means, if a candidate fails to score a rank equal to or higher than the cutoff rank, they don't get admission. Typically, a higher ranked institute will invite: More applications Higher ranked candidates This in turn pushes up the cutoff in higher ranked (or popular) institutes. Likewise, a lower-ranked institute will receive comparatively fewer number of applications, and mostly from lower-ranked candidates. This means, cut-off in these institutes are lower making it much easier to get admission.

Ques. I have failed to meet the NIFT 2025 cut-off in previous rounds. Will I get admission?

Ans. NIFT 2025 counseling process will be conducted online and will have multiple rounds. In the previous edition of the exam, four regular rounds, followed by a SPOT round, of seat allotment was conducted.  If you meet the cut-off in any of these rounds, you will be considered for admission in that round. However, if you fail to meet the cut-off criteria, you may be considered for admission in the subsequent rounds provided you meet the cut-off for that round.
