NIFT Result 2026 (Out): Stage 2 Declared on June 03, Check Download Steps

NIFTEE Result 2026 for Stage 2 has officially been announced on June 03, 2026 for UG & PG programmes. NIFT Result 2026 for the Stage 1 exam has been declared on March 20, 2026. Candidates can check their results by using their application number and date of birth on the official website. After the result announcement, shortlisted candidates will appear for Stage 2, which includes the Situation Test/Studio Test and/or Personal Interview.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology has released the final result for Stage 2. The final merit list is prepared based on performance in CAT, GAT, Situation Test, and Interview. NIFT counselling will start after the final result is declared, and the cut-off marks and topper list are also expected to be released along with the final result.

Candidates who qualify for the NIFT 2026 Exam were considered eligible to participate in the counselling process, including seat allotment and final admissions. Along with the final results, NTA is also expected to release the NIFT 2026 cutoff marks and toppers list.

NIFT 2026 Result Dates

The NIFT 2026 result dates include both Stage 1 and Stage 2 timelines. Stage 1 results have been declared on March 20, 2026, while Stage 2 result has been declared on June 03, 2026.

NIFT Result 2026: Stage 1

Stage 1 includes the written exam (GAT and CAT). After the exam, NTA released the answer key and response sheet, followed by the Stage 1 result on March 20, 2026.

NIFT Result 2026: Stage 2

Stage 2 includes the Situation Test (for B.Des) and/or a Personal Interview (for PG programs). After the evaluation, the final Stage 2 result and merit list has been declared on June 03, 2026.

NIFT 2026 results is available at nift.ac.in/admission or exams.nta.ac.in/NIFT. Following the simple steps, candidates can check the results below:

• Step 1: Visit the official NIFT or NTA website.
• Step 2: On the NFIT website, click on the “NIFT 2026 Results” link.
• Step 3: Enter candidate data: roll number, date of birth, and application number.
• Step 4: Click the “Proceed” link.
• Step 5: The results for the given candidate will be displayed on the screen.

NIFT 2026 Result: Tie-Breaker

NTA uses a tie-breaker policy for candidates with the same marks to determine the final ranks. Here is how the tie-breaker criteria for determining final ranks work:

• To resolve a tie, NTA considers the score of the test that carries more weight. For example, if two candidates have the same GAT score for B.Des, the CAT score is used to break the tie since it has a higher weightage
• If candidates have the same score in the CAT test, the GAT test scores are considered to break the tie.
• If the tie remains, section-wise marks are considered in the following order: Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Quantitative Ability, Analytical Ability, and General Knowledge & Current Affairs.

NIFT 2026 Result: Benefit Marks for Wrong Answers

NTA awards benefit marks to candidates for any incorrect questions identified in the NIFT answer key:

• Candidates who attempt the wrong questions in the NIFT 2026 are awarded benefit marks.
• This policy applies to both GAT and CAT tests.
• To get benefit marks from wrong questions, candidates must raise challenges to the answer key released by NIFT.
• If experts deem the question to be incorrect, candidates who attempt it are awarded marks.
