IILM Lucknow was established in 2004 under the aegis of the Ram Krishan & Sons Charitable Trust. This university is a private state university, approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is also affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU).
