Admission: The institute managed verification and orientation properly as updates were shared early and volunteers directed students at each step which reduced confusion during the initial days.
Academic: Faculty members usually explain topics well but some teach too fast, and since first year includes subjects outside our main branch, exams feel mixed with easy and difficult papers depending on the course.
Placement: Our college placements are quite good, especially for Computer Science students. In 2024, almost 92% of CSE students got placed, which is a really high number. Someone even bagged a crazy 160 LPA as the highest package, and the average salary was around 24 LPA, with the lowest being 10 LPA. Many big companies come here for hiring, like Apple, Google, Goldman Sachs, Flipkart, and American Express. Plus, most of us CSE students also get good internship opportunities. For internships, companies such as Apple, Google, Microsoft, DE Shaw, Capital One, and Databricks are usually there. The roles offered are cool, covering software development, data science, machine learning, program management, and IT jobs.
Campus: The IIT Kharagpur campus looks great with fast Wi Fi, excellent hostel rooms, many sports areas including three main stadiums, medical help all day and night, plus night canteens, but the food still isnt the best.

Admission: Going through IIT Kharagpur's JoSAA steps took some time but reporting and verification worked mostly fine and allotment details came clearly while the pre joining orientation gave a good start.
Academic: Choosing a career direction by second year really helps because seniors and faculty guide you well, especially since the coursework becomes harder and exams need serious effort to clear.
Placement: In my college, IIT Kharagpur, the Agricultural and Food Engineering department has decent placements. For the 2023-24 batch, around 68% of students got placed. The packages were quite good; the highest package went up to 34 LPA, and the average was 15.7 LPA. The median package was 13.7 LPA, and the lowest package was 7.5 LPA, which is pretty fair. Big companies like ITC, HQL, and PNG come to recruit from our campus. Students get various job roles, from technical positions to jobs in the agricultural supply chain.
Campus: Classrooms and labs here are excellent and the hostel experience really depends on your hall, with girls' hostels usually serving better food and many hostels offering indoor games and spaces to relax.

Admission: The overall process here felt steady because the JoSAA cycle ran without trouble and document checks were detailed yet organised while the last registration steps were easy to complete.
Academic: A lot of our teachers studied at top IITs or abroad and explain concepts well, but the syllabus feels basic and not aligned with industry needs, though semester exams stay simple due to relative grading.
Placement: From what I've seen, about 40% of students in our batch manage to get placed. Big companies such as Amazon, Flipkart, and TCS visit our campus for recruitment. The highest salary someone got was 26 LPA, the lowest was 8 LPA, and the average package stood at 12 LPA. Plus, almost 60% of students also secured internships at companies like Turimo.
Campus: Facilities like Wi Fi, labs, classrooms and the library stay open long hours and hostel life is fairly good with many food options on campus, and there is a wide sports area for almost every game.

Admission: IIT Kharagpur's process was well handled from the counselling stage because JoSAA was clear and campus verification ran step by step with staff support and the orientation added clarity to the first few weeks.
Academic: Exams on campus feel hard but fair, and teachers are very approachable and qualified, with the syllabus built around research and practical work, which helps keep the pass rate around 95%.
Placement: For placements, our college is really good. The average salary package here is around 20-25 LPA, which is quite decent. Someone even got a huge 1.2 crore per year package, though the lowest was 8 LPA. Roughly 85-90% of students manage to get placed every year. Top companies like Microsoft, Google, Goldman Sachs, Tata Steel, and Reliance visit our campus for jobs. Besides regular placements, internships are also strong, with about 80% of students getting them at places like Google, Amazon, and Shell.
Campus: IIT KGP has really impressive infrastructure with clean classrooms, a big central library, well kept hostels and fast Wi Fi, and the mess usually serves healthy food with different cuisines.

Admission: Updates from the institute kept things organised since the counselling communication was timely and online registration was straightforward and the verification desk solved questions patiently.
Academic: At IIT Kharagpur the professors are extremely experienced and enthusiastic, and the curriculum is structured well with high level and well managed exams.
Placement: When it comes to jobs, our college does pretty well. Around 65% of students usually get placed. The salary packages are also quite good, with the highest being 75 LPA and the lowest around 8 LPA. Most students get an average package of 16 LPA. Top companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and BlackBox AI come here for recruitment. On the flip side, internships are not that great; only about 30% of students get on-campus ones, mainly for data science or SDE roles.
Campus: Most halls at Kharagpur are cleaned daily with enough washrooms and fast Wi Fi and LAN, and the mess food is tasty with night canteens always open, plus medical care is free at BC Roy Hospital.

Admission: The admission steps at IIT Kharagpur were easy to follow since JoSAA shared clear timelines for choice filling and seat acceptance while online document checks went fine even though the portal needed a little patience and the orientation later helped explain everything properly.
Academic: The teachers in our institute are very well educated and experienced, and the syllabus is quite broad so we study many subjects, even getting exposure to new areas like consulting during engineering.
Placement: My course, which is part of the Mechanical Engineering Department, is just okay, nothing great. It's very similar to regular Mechanical engineering, no real big changes. But what I like is that the study load is not too much, and we have a good number of students in our batch.
Campus: The campus at our institute has most of the facilities students need, with stable Wi Fi everywhere, but the hostel and mess food is honestly very bad and it feels strange that IIT Kharagpur still hasnt fixed it.

Admission: The entire admission flow at IIT Kharagpur moved steadily because JoSAA and online registration were neatly explained and document checks at the centre happened without confusion thanks to supportive staff and a useful first orientation.
Academic: Most faculty here are excellent and very helpful, with many having 15 or more years of experience, and our mid sem covers 30% of the syllabus while the end sem handles the remaining 70%.
Placement: When it comes to placements, they are actually pretty good here. Around 65% of students get placed every season, even when the market is a bit slow. The average salary package usually ranges between 18 and 20 LPA. In my branch, we also see a similar placement percentage. The main job roles companies recruit for include software developer, data analyst, consultant, and product manager.
Campus: College facilities are quite good with fast Wi Fi, proper labs, classrooms and a large library, while the hostel and mess quality changes from hall to hall but is mostly manageable with medical care available inside campus.

Admission: Getting in took effort after JEE Advanced but the counselling portal remained transparent and the reporting centre worked systematically for verification and final registration, which eased the journey.
Academic: Teachers are qualified and teach clearly, but the syllabus doesn't fully prepare us for industry work, and semester exams are difficult with almost 40% of students passing all subjects.
Placement: In our course, a lot of students get placed, like 88% of them. The salary packages are also pretty good; the highest was 12 LPA and the lowest went up to 4 LPA. Many big companies come here to recruit students from our course. Plus, a lot of students also get internships with well-known companies like Zebronics.
Campus: Our department's facilities are strong with good classrooms and library access, and hostel quality is fine too, but the only issue is that the food cooked here hardly tastes good.

Academic: In our classes the faculty members all have PhDs and explain things clearly, and because the material they teach comes directly in exams, attending lectures and managing time makes passing quite easy.
Placement: In my department, 75% of students get placed every year. The highest salary package offered was 2.1 crores, and the lowest was 10 LPA. Top companies like Amazon, Google, BlackRock, and Microsoft recruit students from our course, offering jobs in various fields, including core roles. Most students also get internships from big names like Amazon, Google, Texas, and Nvidia.
Campus: IIT Kharagpur has a beautiful campus with internet access almost everywhere all the time, and the library is huge, though I still dont enjoy the food much even if the canteen and medical help are good.

Admission: My reporting to IIT Kharagpur went nicely because the team shared the document list and timings clearly and the shift from provisional admission to physical verification was smooth.
Academic: Most professors carry strong qualifications and updated the curriculum in 2024 to add AI and ML, and though exams vary by professor, students generally pass without much issue.
Placement: Let me tell you about placements at IIT Kharagpur, they are really good. Every year, so many companies come to our campus to hire students. Our college has a very high placement ratio, meaning lots of students get placed easily. These companies hire for different areas like software, finance, business, and even core engineering jobs.
