Vishwaniketan's College of Architecture, Art and Design (VCAAD) is affiliated with the University of Mumbai and is approved by the Council of Architecture (COA). VCAAD offers a 5 year full-time Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) program and Vishwaniketan Institute of Design (VID) offers a 4 year Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and a 4 year BA (Hons) in Design with specialisations in Product Design, Graphic Design and Illustration and Interior Architecture and Design.The total seats for B.Arch is 40, of which 80% (32 seats) are filled through the Government of Maharashtra’s centralised admission process conducted by the State Common Entrance Cell and 20% (8 seats) are filled at the institute level for candidates registered with the DTE.

 

Admission for B.Arch is based on performance in NATA. For BA (Hons) courses, applicants with a valid UCEED, NID or NIFT scores are eligible, others can appear for the VID Design Aptitude Test (DAT). The BA (Hons) application process is conducted directly through the VCAAD website, with an application fee of INR 2,000.

Admission to VCAAD and VID is based on national level entrance examinations. The application process is online and candidates are selected based on academic merit and their performance in the exams.

Criteria for Admission

B.Arch

  • Minimum 40% marks in NATA.
  • Minimum 50% aggregate marks in class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths as compulsory subjects
  • Or 10+3 Diploma with Maths as a compulsory subject and at least 50% aggregate marks

BA (Hons.)

  • Students qualified in UCEED (IIT Bombay), NID or NIFT exams are eligible.
  • Or appear for the VID Design Aptitude Test (DAT)
  • Candidates need to have passed class 12th
  • For Admission to the B.Arch course, candidates must ensure that they apply for NATA on the official website and appear for the exam on the scheduled date and time.
  • Then participate in the centralised counselling process and give preference for choice of college, for seat allotment.
  • The BA (Hons.) applications are directly managed through the official VCAAD website.
  • Aspirants need to fill the form with all necessary details and pay the application fee of INR 2000 to successfully submit the form.
  • Candidates who have qualified in the UCEED exam conducted by IIT Bombay or NID or NIFT exams are also eligible to apply.
  • Students who have not appeared for any of the above exams, can take the VID Design Aptitude Test (DAT).
