The Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), a public university situated in the Pulwama area of Jammu & Kashmir, was established in 2005. Founded by the state government of J&K, it has received a Grade "B" accreditation from NAAC and is properly recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in accordance with Sections 2(f) and 12(b) of the UGC Act. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Indian Nursing Council (INC) have approved all of IUST's technical and nursing programs. To promote technological, scholarly, and cultural exchange, IUST has close relationships with a number of esteemed organisations, including the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, Delhi University, the University of Kashmir, and the United Nations University of Peace in Costa Rica. Eleven doctorate, fourteen postgraduate, thirteen undergraduate, three diploma, and one certificate program in Arabic are offered by its five schools, which include eighteen departments and colleges.

Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements set forth by the Islamic University of Science and Technology in order to be admitted into any of the many programs offered at various levels. These programs come in a variety of fields, including IT & Software, Business & Management Studies, and Engineering. A range of courses is available for applicants to choose from, depending on their interests and prior qualifications.

IUST Admission to all of this university's programs is determined by entrance exams, and for some courses, the selection process is based on the percentage of marks earned in the qualifying exam. Before continuing, candidates who wish to enrol in the university must verify their eligibility requirements. 

How to apply for IUST Admission?

The actions listed below must be followed by the applicant who wants to be admitted to this university:

• Prior to clicking the "proceed" button at the bottom of the page, carefully read the instructions on the application form.
• The "New Applicant" and "Existing Applicant" tabs will then open.
• To apply again, a candidate must click on New Applicant and then click on "Apply for Undergraduate" or "Apply for Post Graduate," as necessary. In order to apply for additional programs, those who have already applied must click on Existing Applicant and enter their already issued "Applicant Number."
• Enter the required information, including personal and academic details, a passport-size photo, and signature. Verify that the information is accurate.
• The candidate receives an acknowledgement message with their name, application number, and form number after successfully submitting their application.
• All programs require an application fee of ₹1000, with the exception of the three-year Polytechnic Diploma program, which requires ₹500.
• Keep a hard copy of the application form at IUST, Awantipora, and save the proof.

To get over financial barriers, the university offers scholarships to deserving and economically disadvantaged groups. The following scholarships are offered:

• Merit cum refers to a scholarship program.
• Scholarships for Post-Matric Students from Scheduled Castes, Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Backward Classes (EBC)
• Speaking Scheme in Pahari
• Residents of Physically Challenged Students' (PCS) Backward Area Schemes

IUST Facility 2025

To ensure that the educational process runs well, the university offers a variety of amenities to both professors and students.

• Library: The departmental library is accessible through the university. The library has a large collection of books and scholarly periodicals on a variety of topics.
• Canteen: The University canteen offers affordable, high-quality meals, snacks, and beverages.
• Medical Facility: Students and university employees have access to first aid supplies and ambulance services around-the-clock. The centre has all the medications that are required.
• Hostel Facilities: The university offers three different accommodations for boys and two for girls. Every hostel offers a beautiful setting for leisure and a backup facility that is available around-the-clock. Students from distant places are given preference when it comes to allocation.
