Delhi LLB Admission FAQs

Is there an age limit for applying for the DU 3-year LLB course?

There are no minimum or maximum age criteria for admission to the 3-year LLB course at Delhi University. All age groups are eligible to apply provided they possess the required educational qualifications. This is to make sure everyone who is qualified gets an opportunity. The official releases of the university verify that age is not a hindrance when applying for LLB admission.

Do I require a certain percentage of marks in graduation to be eligible for DU LLB?

For unreserved and EWS classes, 50% aggregate marks in graduation is needed. For OBC-NCL candidates, a minimum of 45% marks in the undergraduate degree is needed. SC/ST/ PwBD candidates need 40% aggregate marks. Final year appearing students can also apply if they meet these on the date of passing out.

How do the eligibility criteria of Delhi University vary between 3-year and 5-year law courses?

3-year LLB is eligible with a graduate degree and a score in a valid CUET LLB entrance test. 5-year BA/BBA LLB is eligible with the completion of 10+2 and a score in a valid CLAT UG entrance test. For 10+2, the minimum marks are 45% for UR/EWS/OBC-NCL and 40% for SC/ST/PwBD. Eligibility for 3-year LLB is therefore graduation, whereas for 5-year LLB it is the completion of 10+2.

What documents do I need to get prepared for Delhi University seat acceptance and counselling?

You are supposed to bring your 10+2 or graduation mark sheets and certificate, if any. You should carry your entrance exam scorecard (CUET LLB or CLAT, as applicable). Bring a category certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD) in case you are seeking admission under a reserved category. Make photo ID, passport photographs ready and any other document mentioned in the university's admission notification.
