Admissions to LLB in the state of Punjab have already started at premier colleges like Punjab University and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. The state government, state-aided and private law colleges of the state are offering these courses. Punjab LLB Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who apply for admission to LLB courses in Punjab need to satisfy the eligibility. These are marginally different for both the 3-year LLB and the 5-year LLB courses. The eligibility varies on the basis of academic qualifications, category, and nationality.

  • For admissions to 3-year LLB course, the applicants should have a bachelor's degree in any field with minimum marks of 45% marks for General, 42% for OBC/SBC, and 40% for SC/ST candidates from Punjab.
  • For the 5-year LLB course, candidates must have passed 10+2 (HSC) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board with a minimum of 45% marks for General, 42% for OBC/SBC, and 40% for SC/ST candidates belonging to Punjab.

Punjab LLB Admission Process 2025

Punjab University (PU), Chandigarh, is among the premier law colleges of India. The University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS) of PU provides an integrated 5-year LLB course, such as B.A./B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.), with an objective to educate the students for holistic legal education. Admission to this program is done in a sequential manner through an entrance exam, merit screening, and document verification.

  • The candidates have to register online on the official PU LLB admissions website. The registration is usually done in April and involves the generation of a login ID and password.
  • After registration, the candidates have to fill the application form by entering personal details, academic details, and uploading essential documents like photographs and signatures.
  • A non-refundable application fee has to be paid online. The fee depends on the candidate's category (e.g., General, SC/ST/PwD).
