LLB Admission 2025 provides an opportunity for law students to pursue law through 3-year or 5-year courses in Indian colleges. Different modes of admission follow based on the course and college, with universities looking at national-level exams like CLAT, AILET, LSAT—India, etc., and others looking at academic grades or having their own entrance exams. Applicants should fulfill the eligibility criteria, which may consist of Class 12 or graduation qualifying marks, and remain informed about relevant dates pertaining to application, test, counseling, and seat allotment.

LLB course is full legal education and comprises core subjects of constitutional law, criminal law, and contract law. Admission to 5-year integrated LLB can be applied after Class 12, but 3-year LLB will require an undergraduate degree completed. Admission includes registration for entrance test (if necessary), filling out the application form, release of merit lists or examination marks, counseling, and ultimate seat allotment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can 3-year and 5-year LLB courses be applied for together in 2025 by applicants?

Yes, applicants who meet the eligibility criteria for both courses can apply simultaneously to maximize their chances of admission. The 5-year integrated LLB is for students after Class 12, while the 3-year LLB requires a completed undergraduate degree. However, you’ll need to appear for the respective entrance exams or merit-based admissions separately, as the application processes and eligibility vary.

How important are internships or work experience in the admission to the LLB?

Merit or entrance test marks are the basis for admission in most except a few private law colleges in India, and even in them, some work experience or internship might be considered while admitting students or during student interviews, especially for postgraduate law courses. Admissions for undergraduate courses in LLB hardly consider work experience, but securing internships will be worthwhile when admitted.

Is there a quota or reservation for differently-abled candidates in LLB admission?

Yes, most of the law schools in India reserve seats for differently-abled (PwD) students under their positive action policy. Percentage of reservation varies institution to institution and as per state policy guidelines, and disability certificates have to be submitted by the candidates during application or counseling. Reservation provides greater accessibility and scope for differently-abled students to study law.
