Candidates might also have to take part in an interview or counselling process after passing the examination. However, many colleges offer admission on merit basis also. For reference, the admission process for pursuing General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) at Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand University Dehradun (DBUU Dehradun) is given below.

An application fee of INR 1,500 and a separate admission fee of INR 7,000 - Online payment should be made using net banking, credit/debit card, or e-wallet. After successfully submitting the form, the system will generate a unique application number, which serves as a reference to all further communications.

Step 2: Documents uploading

Candidates should upload scanned copies of several documents after submitting the application form to complete the admission process. These include mark sheet, age proof, transfer and migration certificate, character certificate, and class 10, class 12, diploma (if applicable) mark sheets. Other documents such as reservation certificates, sports or NCC/NSS participation certificates, medical fitness certificate, passport-size photographs, and a self-addressed envelope with postage must also be submitted. If the student has taken a gap year, a different certificate is also necessary, explaining the reason.

Step 3: Fee Payment

Once the documents are uploaded, students will have to pay the program fee online through the university fee payment portal. Login credentials for payment are provided after the application submission. Payments can be made through UPI, Debit or Credit Card, or Net Banking, and a small convenience fee can be applied. After successful payment of the fee, the student or guardian will receive an online receipt, which should be printed and placed safely for future reference.
