MBA Banking and Finance Admission Process 2025

Admission into the MBA Banking and Finance program is based on national-level entrance examinations like CAT, XAT, GMAT, etc, followed by a personal interview round. Some of the institutes like IIM Trichy and XIMB conduct their own exams, only for those who have not appeared for any of the national-level entrance examinations.

The interested candidates will have to fill out the online application form through the official website of the institute and provide all the required details and their exam scores. The application fees is somewhere around INR 2,000 for most institutes.

 

NOTE: For XLRI, there is no separate application. The XAT and the XLRI application forms are the same. The XAT registration fee is INR 2,200 and to apply for each XLRI course an extra INR 200 will be charged.

Shortlisting

The candidates will be shortlisted based on their exam scores. Some institutes may also consider the academic background and work experience while shortlisting.

Personal Interview

The shortlisted candidates will be called for the personal interview round.

Final Selection

The final selection will be based on various factors like exam scores, PI scores, work experience, academic performance, etc.

Admission Offer

The selected candidates will receive a provisional offer for admission that needs to be accepted within the given deadline by paying the first installment fee.
