The score report of the ACT Exam 2025 includes individual scores for English, Math, Reading, and Science, along with a Composite score that represents the average of these four sections. However, the Writing scores are normally available about two weeks after the multiple-choice scores. Accordingly, ACT allows candidates to send their scores to colleges and scholarship agencies, for a fee of INR 1751 per test date per report.

Score Timelines of The ACT Test

Scores are posted online, and it is accessible only at www.act.org in myACT account. Candidates must note that the ACT scores can not be provided by phone, email, chat, or fax. The timelines of the scores of the ACT Exam are as follows:

• Multiple choice scores: Multiple choice scores are normally available two weeks after each national test date, but sometimes it may take up to eight weeks.
• Writing Scores: These are normally available about two weeks after multiple-choice scores. If candidates take the writing test, they should wait until writing scores are added to the official reporting.
• Equating test dates: During equating test dates, scores are typically available within 3-8 weeks.

How is the ACT Exam 2025 Scored?

The scoring is done for mandatory sections only, such as English, Reading and Maths. For multiple-choice tests, +1 is awarded for one correct answer and no marks for the wrong answer. Check below to know how ACT Scores are calculated.

• First, the number of questions is counted on each test that candidates answered correctly.
• Then ACT converts the raw scores (number of correct answers on each test) to "scale scores”, which are 1-36.
• Candidates’ Composite score and each test score (English, mathematics, reading, science) range from 1 (low) to 36 (high). The Composite score is the average of the four multiple-choice test scores, rounded to the nearest whole number.
• Fractions less than one-half are rounded down; fractions one-half or more are rounded up.
• Each reporting category includes the total number of questions and the total number of questions in that category that candidates answered correctly, and the percentage of questions answered correctly.

How To Request a Copy of Test Questions and Answers

On certain test dates, candidates are permitted to order (for an additional fee) a copy of the multiple-choice test questions used to determine their scores, including a list of their answers and the answer key. If any candidates took the writing section, they will also receive a copy of the writing prompt, scoring guidelines, and the scores assigned to the essays. However, candidates must note that this service is not available for all test dates and is available only for National testing or Special testing in the United States, US territories, and Puerto Rico.
