The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the CSIR NET Result 2026 for the June session on August 29, 2026, on its official website. The Agency has conducted the Computer-Based Test on July 17 & 18, 2026, for the June session for five subjects across multiple examination centres. A total of 1,87,739 candidates registered for the examination, while 1,50,057 candidates appeared. The result has been prepared after reviewing the challenges raised against the provisional answer key, which was released on August 16, 2026, and finalising the answer keys.

How to Download CSIR NET Result 2026?

Candidates will be able to check and download the CSIR NET Result 2026 from the official website, csirnet.nta.ac.in, by logging in with their required credentials. The result will be available as a PDF on csirnet.nta.ac.in. The steps to access and download the result are given below.

1. Visit the official CSIR NET website at csirnet.nta.ac.in.

2. Click on the link labelled CSIR UGC NET 2026 (June) Result on the homepage.

3. Enter the Application Number, Date of Birth, and Security PIN as shown on the screen.

4. Click the Submit button to view the result.

5. Download the result PDF and scorecard. Save a copy for future reference.

What if the Application Number is Forgotten?

Candidates who do not remember their application number can recover it through the official portal. The steps are as follows.

1. Visit csirnet.nta.ac.in.

2. Click on Scorecard Download from the Candidates Activity tab.

3. On the login page, click on Home.

4. On the Application Form page, select Forgot Application Number.

5. Enter the registered name, mobile number, email address, and Security PIN, then click Submit.

6. The application number will be sent to the registered mobile number and email address.

The CSIR NET Cutoff 2026 for the June session has been released along with the declaration of the result on August 29, 2026. The cutoff is published category-wise and separately for JRF, Lectureship/Assistant Professor, and PhD-only categories, for each subject. CSIR NET Result 2026: Answer Key

Before the declaration of the result, NTA released the CSIR NET 2026 provisional answer key on August 16, 2026, on the official website, csirnet.nta.ac.in. Candidates were allowed to raise objections against the provisional answer key by paying a fee of INR 200 per challenged question, which is non-refundable. After reviewing all valid objections, NTA will release the final CSIR NET 2026 Answer Key. The CSIR NET Result 2026 was prepared based on the final answer key.

CSIR NET Score Normalisation 2026

Since the CSIR NET exam is held in multiple shifts, and different shifts may have question papers of varying difficulty levels, NTA uses a score normalisation process to ensure fairness across all candidates. Raw marks are converted into percentile scores using the Equi-percentile method. This means that each candidate's raw marks are first expressed as a percentile within their own shift, and then percentiles from all shifts are aligned on a common scale using interpolation. The formula used for percentile calculation is as follows.

Percentile Score = 100 x (Number of candidates who appeared in the session with a raw score equal to or less than the candidate's score) divided by (Total number of candidates who appeared in the session).

The final normalised score, not the raw score, is used for the rank list and cutoff comparison. Candidates should keep this in mind while estimating their chances from the provisional answer key.

CSIR NET 2026 E-Certificate

After the result is declared, NTA will issue the CSIR NET 2026 e-Certificate to candidates who qualify. The e-certificate will be available on the dedicated NTA certificate portal. Candidates can download it by following the steps below.

1. Visit ecertificate.nta.ac.in.

2. Click on the link for CSIR NET e-Certificate.

3. Select the exam name from the options available.

4. Enter the captcha code and click Proceed.

5. Enter the Roll Number or Application Number and Date of Birth.

6. Select the exam session from the list.

7. Re-enter the captcha code and click Proceed.

8. View, download, and save the e-certificate.

Documents Required for CSIR NET Certificate 2026

Candidates whose names appear in Part I (JRF) of the CSIR NET Result 2026 are required to send self-attested photocopies of their mark sheets and other documents by email to certificate@csirhrdg.res.in. Candidates listed in Part II and Part III of the result must contact UGC or NTA separately to receive their e-certificates. The documents required are listed below.
