Goa Board HSSC Hindi Syllabus 2027: Chapters, Marks, Exam Pattern & PDF

Goa Board HSSC Hindi Syllabus 2027 is prescribed by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) for Hindi Language II (Subject Code H4424) for the academic year 2026–27. The syllabus covers गद्य पाठ, पद्य पाठ, वितान, माध्यम और लेखन (रचना), तथा अपठित गद्यांश/पद्यांश. The annual theory paper carries 80 marks, with 25 marks from prose and Vitan, 15 marks from poetry, 25 marks from writing, and 15 marks from unseen passages.

Students appearing for the Goa Board HSSC Exam 2027 should also note that the Hindi Language II exam is scheduled for 18 February 2027 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as per the Board's tentative date sheet.

Goa Board Class 12 Hindi syllabus 2027 is divided into five major areas. गद्य पाठ (Prose) includes prescribed Hindi chapters and carries 15 marks, while वितान carries 10 marks. पद्य पाठ (Poetry) covers nine prescribed poems and carries 15 marks. माध्यम और लेखन (Writing) includes mass communication, journalism, dialogue, report, paragraph and letter writing for 25 marks. अपठित गद्यांश और पद्यांश (Unseen Prose and Poetry) carries another 15 marks.

The major components of the Goa Board HSSC Hindi Syllabus 2027 are गद्य पाठ, पद्य पाठ, वितान, माध्यम और लेखन (रचना), and अपठित गद्यांश/पद्यांश. Students should study the prescribed texts carefully and give special attention to the revised question paper pattern for 2026–27.

Goa Board Class 12 Hindi Syllabus 2027 for गद्य साहित्य

The गद्य पाठ section contains eight prose chapters in the annual syllabus. Students should understand the main idea, important events, characters, author's viewpoint and important questions from each chapter.

Goa Board Class 12 Hindi Syllabus 2027 for काव्य साहित्य

The पद्य पाठ section has nine poems in the annual syllabus. Students should understand the central idea, भावार्थ, important lines and poetic expression of each poem. The revised question pattern also changes one important poetry question, so students should practise सप्रसंग व्याख्या along with meaning based questions.

Goa Board Class 12 Hindi Syllabus 2027 for वितान

The वितान section carries 10 marks in the annual Hindi syllabus. It includes the following two prescribed chapters:

The माध्यम और लेखन (रचना) section carries 25 marks, making it one of the highest-weightage sections of the Goa Board Class 12 Hindi paper. The syllabus covers mass communication, journalism and different practical writing formats.

Students need to prepare:

• विभिन्न माध्यमों के लिए लेखन – प्रिंट मीडिया, रेडियो, टी.वी., इंटरनेट और हिंदी नेट संसार
• पत्रकारीय लेखन के विभिन्न रूप और लेखन प्रक्रिया
• संवाद लेखन
• प्रतिवेदन लेखन
• अनुच्छेद लेखन
• पत्र लेखन
• आवेदन पत्र अथवा शिकायत पत्र

The official assessment scheme assigns 5 marks each to संवाद लेखन, प्रतिवेदन लेखन, अनुच्छेद लेखन and पत्र लेखन, while writing for different media is also allotted 5 marks.

Goa Board Class 12 Hindi Syllabus 2027 for पत्र लेखन

The syllabus specifically includes आवेदन पत्र अथवा शिकायत पत्र. Students should learn the correct format and write the subject, main content and closing in the appropriate order. Answers should remain focused on the situation given in the question.

Goa Board Class 12 Hindi Syllabus 2027 for अन्य लेखन कार्य

Students should regularly practise संवाद, प्रतिवेदन और अनुच्छेद लेखन along with writing for different communication media. The aim is to check whether students can present information and ideas clearly and in the correct format.

Note: There is also an important question paper pattern change for 2026–27. Question 39, which earlier used feature writing, will now ask students to do संवाद लेखन. The same change has been specified for Question 50 of the CWSN Hindi paper.

Goa Board Class 12 Hindi Syllabus 2027 for अपठित गद्यांश / पद्यांश

The अपठित गद्यांश और पद्यांश section carries 15 marks, including 10 marks for unseen prose and 5 marks for unseen poetry. The unseen prose passage will not be taken from the prescribed textbook, while the unseen poetry passage will be selected from the Class 8, 9 or 10 textbooks.

For the unseen prose passage, four questions can test language-related areas such as:

• भाववाचक
• विशेषण
• उपसर्ग
• विरुद्धार्थी शब्द
• समानार्थी शब्द
• मुहावरे
• काल परिवर्तन

These areas are specifically linked to questions asked from the unseen prose passage in the prescribed assessment scheme.

Goa Board Class 12 Hindi Syllabus 2027 for काव्यांश और सप्रसंग व्याख्या

Students should also prepare poetry extracts carefully. The Board has changed Question 18 for the 2026–27 Class XII Hindi question paper. Instead of asking students to explain the भावार्थ and शिल्प सौंदर्य of a काव्यांश, the revised question asks them to give the सप्रसंग व्याख्या of the poetic lines.

This means students should practise identifying the प्रसंग, संदर्भ, भाव and explanation of the given lines, rather than preparing only a one-line meaning.

Goa Board HSSC Recommended Textbook 2027

GBSHSE has prescribed Abhivyakti – Part 2 (June 2015) as the Class 12 Hindi Language II textbook. Students should use this board prescribed textbook as the main source for preparing the Hindi syllabus and examination.

Preparation Tips:

1. Start by completing all chapters from the prescribed textbook and prepare short notes on the main ideas, characters, important lines and meanings.
2. Next, practise अपठित गद्यांश और पद्यांश, followed by संवाद, प्रतिवेदन, अनुच्छेद and पत्र लेखन.
3. In the final stage, revise grammar and important textbook questions and solve sample or previous question papers within the given time.
4. This approach helps students cover the syllabus systematically and improve both accuracy and writing speed.
