How to Apply for the IBPS PO Application Process 2026?

IBPS PO Apply Online 2026 process commenced with the release of the official notification on June 30, 2026, and the online application window remains open from July 1 to July 21, 2026. Eligible candidates must complete the application process through the official IBPS website by registering online, filling in the application form, uploading the required documents, and paying the prescribed application fee. Candidates must follow the tips below to fill out the Application Process for the IBPS PO 2026 exam.

Step 1: Visit the Official IBPS Website: Candidates should open the official IBPS website at ibps.in. On the homepage, they need to find the notification or link related to "CRP PO/MT-XV" (Common Recruitment Process for Probationary Officers/Management Trainees). Clicking this will take candidates to the online application portal.

Step 2: New Registration: Candidates must click on the “New Registration” button to start the process. They will be required to enter basic details such as full name, date of birth, mobile number, and email address. These details should be accurate, as the registration number and password will be sent to the provided email and phone number. After filling in the information, candidates should submit the form.

Step 3: Note Down Registration Details: Once registered successfully, candidates will receive a provisional registration number and password on the screen and via email/SMS. It is important to save these credentials safely for future logins to continue the application process or check status.

Step 4: Upload Photograph and Signature: Candidates will then upload scanned images of a recent passport-size photograph and their signature as per guidelines:

• The photograph must be in JPEG format, size 20-50 KB, dimensions roughly 200 x 230 pixels.
• Signature must be in black ink on a white background, JPEG format, size 10-20 KB, dimensions around 140 x 60 pixels. Signatures in capital letters are not accepted.

Step 5: Upload Left Thumb Impression and Handwritten Declaration: Candidates must also upload their left thumb impression and a handwritten declaration in scanned format:

• Left thumb impression should be in blue or black ink on white paper, size 20-50 KB, dimensions about 240 x 240 pixels.
• The handwritten declaration must be written in English on plain white paper, scanned in JPEG format, size 50-100 KB, dimensions about 800 x 400 pixels. The declaration text will be provided in the notification, and candidates must write it exactly as instructed.

Step 6: Fill out the Detailed Application Form: Candidates will fill out the detailed application form in three parts:

• Personal Details: Including category (General/OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD), nationality, gender, date of birth, parents’ names, address, and contact details.
• Educational Qualifications: Details of graduation, such as year of passing, college/university name, marks, or percentage.
• Work Experience: If any, candidates can mention their past work history, but experience is not mandatory for most PO posts.
• Language Skills: Candidates should fill in the languages they know to read, write, and speak, especially the official language of the respective state/UT.

Step 7: Bank Preferences: Candidates can select their preferred banks among those participating in IBPS PO recruitment. It is advisable to arrange choices carefully. Some categories, like SC/ST/Minority candidates, can also opt for pre-examination training in this section.

IBPS PO Application Correction 2026 Link

The IBPS PO Application Correction 2026 link was activated on the official IBPS portal from July 29 to July 30, 2026, enabling registered candidates to edit permitted details in their submitted application forms. The correction facility is available only to candidates who successfully completed the registration process and paid the application fee within the given timeline. To update their details, candidates must log in using their registration credentials and pay a non-refundable correction fee of Rs 200 (inclusive of GST). However, certain fields such as Name, Mobile Number, email ID, nationality, applied post, and state or UT of the permanent or correspondence address cannot be modified. After saving the changes, candidates should verify the revised application carefully, as no further corrections will be allowed once the correction window closes on July 30, 2026.
