IICD Exam Pattern 2026: Overview

IICD Exam Pattern 2026: General Awareness, Creativity & Perception Test

This test is designed to evaluate the abilities and interests in students, such as estimation of sizes and proportion, observation, synthesis and visual interpretation and general awareness. Candidates must start collecting their Art Work and Portfolio before starting the IICD 2026 Application Process for the Personal Interview round.

 

IICD Exam Pattern 2026: Material, Color & Conceptual Test

This test will assess the abilities like Intelligent use of materials, conceptualize and realize a 3 dimensional form, and skill of handling material. The IICD exam pattern include this online test to observe, think and expand ideas and create solution based on a plan and strategy. The material, colour, and concecptual test evaluates the ability to provide multiple solutions to the given problem with written description. The material required for the test are pencils (HB, 2B, 4B & 6B), eraser, scale, cello tape, paper cutter, pens, fevistick, compass, color pencils or dry pastels or water color, scissor, brushes etc.

 

IICD Exam Pattern 2026: Personal Interview Round

The IICD Personal Interview Round will be conducted online from 1st May 2026. The PI round exact dates will be mentioned on the IICD 2026 Admit Card. The time duration for this round is 20 minutes. Candidates will have to submit their Portfolio or Art Work during PI round. A panel of experts evaluates the candidate’s personality, communication skills, and knowledge of design. It will be conducted via WhatsApp. The key aspects evaluated in the Interview are:

  • Aptitude for Crafts and Design: Interest and knowledge about traditional and modern design.
  • Intelligence Quotient (IQ): Ability to think logically and solve problems.
  • Communication Skills: Clarity, confidence, and articulation.
  • General Awareness: Knowledge about crafts, materials, and design trends.
  • Personal Achievements: Academic and extracurricular accomplishments.

 

Portfolio Submission (PI Round)
