MCAT Registration 2025 is ongoing for the exams scheduled on 5th, 12th, and 13th September 2025. Candidates who are currently attending or planning to attend a health professions program, such as MD or DO-granting programs, Podiatric Medicine (D.P.M), and Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M), that accepts MCAT scores are eligible to apply. To register for MCAT Exam 2025, candidates must first create an AAMC ID with a username and password. Following this, they must enter personal details, including full name, gender, email address, phone number, and academic qualifications. Next, candidates must select a test center and preferred test date, and confirm their seat by paying the registration fee of INR 30,176.

 

AAMC allows individuals with disabilities to request accommodations such as Extra time, Extended breaks, and Separate testing. Accordingly, it also allows students with financial limitations to access fee assistance programs. However, in both cases, candidates must submit valid supporting documents. Violation of the MCAT policies may result in appointment cancellation, cancellation of scores, and/or a temporary or permanent ban from taking the MCAT exam.

MCAT Exam Eligibility Criteria 2025

To be eligible to take the MCAT Exam, candidates must attend a health professions program that accepts MCAT scores for admission. Refer to the information below to know about the MCAT Eligibility Criteria in detail:

Requesting Special Permission

Individuals who do not meet the eligibility requirements above must apply for special permission to take the MCAT Exam. Candidates must apply for special permission if,

  • Applicants wish to take the exam for any reason other than applying to and attending an eligible health professions program.
  • They are currently or previously enrolled in an eligible health professions program and want to change schools.
  • Candidates are unable to comply with all AAMC testing procedures for reasons other than a medical condition or disability.

To take the special permission, candidates must click on the “Submit another service request” option in the MCAT Registration System. However, failure to obtain special permission may result in appointment cancellation, cancellation of scores, and/or a ban from taking the MCAT exam for a specified duration or permanently.

 

How To Register For The MCAT Exam 2025?

To register for the MCAT Exam, candidates need an AAMC ID and associated username and password. They must note that the AAMC ID can be created only once. More than one account will lead to an MCAT Registration violation. Now, let’s know about some simple steps to register for the MCAT Exam 2025.

  • Click on “Register for the MCAT Exam
  • A login page opens
  • Click on “Create Account,” or if candidates already have an account, they have to log in using their email ID and password.
  • Enter personal details such as names, gender, email address, and phone number, and academic qualification details.
  • Answer initial questions
  • Give answers to additional questions with “Yes” or “No” options
  • Enter date of birth and country
  • Put the address information
  • Choose a test centre and test dates
  • Confirm the seat booking with registration fees
  • Get a confirmation email of registration

Note: Candidates must register for the test using a nickname, partial names, or initials, and be sure to double-check for misspellings.

 

How To Apply For The MCAT Testing With Accommodations?

The AAMC provides appropriate accommodations to individuals with disabilities as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act. However, Candidates must submit an online accommodation application with supporting documentation in advance to give a minimum time for approval. If candidates have not received a decision by 15 days before your test date, it indicates that the accommodations are not approved. They have to test under standard conditions or reschedule to a later test date.

The types of accommodations provided by AAMC to individuals with disabilities are listed below:

  • Testing rooms with nose cancellation
  • Individual carrels to shield test-takers from ambient visual distractions
  • Earplugs and/or headsets (available at the test center) to assist with noise reduction
  • Individual storage for medication, food, and drink (accessible during scheduled breaks)
  • Ability to adjust monitor height and brightness (with assistance from test center staff)
  • Basic zoom function
  • Adjustable chairs

Documents Required For The MCAT Exam 2025

Candidates must ensure that the ID proofs are valid, non-expired, and issued by the government agency. Moreover, the ID proofs must contain a clear picture that can positively identify the candidate. The ID should not be tampered with, clipped, or have holes. The list of ID proofs mandatory for the MCAT Exam is as follows:

MCAT Registration 2025: Important Guidelines

The most important guideline for the MCAT registration is that candidates’ names on the ID proofs must match the first and last names on the MCAT Registration forms. Some other important instructions regarding the registration are highlighted below to avoid the risk of registration and scheduling violations in the MCAT Exam.

  • Creating more than one AAMC ID is not accepted.
  • Holding multiple appointments at the same time is not allowed.
  • Candidates must not provide false or inaccurate information when creating an AAMC ID or registering to take the MCAT Exam.
  • They should not switch registrations with another examinee.
