NEET SS Cutoff 2025 will be announced by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) along with the declaration of results. It will be available online in a downloadable PDF format. The result document will mention category-wise cutoff scores for various specialisations. As per early estimates, the expected NEET SS 2025 cutoff scores may be around 360 out of 600 for the ENT group, 299 out of 600 for the Medical group, and 261 out of 600 for the Pathology group, among others. These cutoff marks are set after evaluating multiple factors such as candidates’ overall performance, exam difficulty level, previous year trends, availability of seats, and the number of participating institutions.

NEET SS Cutoff 2025
NEET SS 2025 cutoff refers to the minimum percentile required to pass the exam. Candidates from all categories must score at least the 50th percentile in the NEET SS results to qualify. The detailed list of cutoffs for each speciality, along with the corresponding percentile, will be provided after the result announcement. Only those who secure marks equal to or higher than the prescribed cutoff for their chosen speciality will be considered qualified. Until the NEET SS 2025 cutoffs are released, candidates can review the previous year’s cutoff scores for reference.

NEET SS 2025 Cut off FAQs
Will the NEET SS rank list change if the cut off is revised?
No, revision of the NEET SS cut off or qualifying percentile will not affect the rank obtained by the candidate in any way. However, in case the NEET SS cutoff is lowered, and more candidates qualify for the exam, then all those candidates will be eligible to participate for the NEET SS counselling process. Last year, additional rounds of NEET SS counselling were conducted since the cutoff was reduced later, to give equal scopes to the newly qualified candidates of the exam. However, their merit positions or the All India Ranks did not change.
Ques.Will there be a reduction in the NEET SS 2025 cutoff?
NMC had recommended the reduction of NEET SS cutoff 2023 to 20 points. In a letter written by the Government of India to NBEMS, the exam conducting body, it has been requested to revise the cutoff marks for each specialisation as per the NMC recommendation. At times, cutoff is reduced to fill seats remaining vacant after counselling. MCC had reduced cut off for NEET SS 2022 by 20 percentile for each speciality. It is expected that the qualifying percentile or cutoff for NEET SS 2024 will be the same as last year.
Ques.Which NEET SS 2025 course have the highest and the lowest cutoffs?
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) or the exam conducting body for NEET SS releases the qualifying scores or the cutoff marks for each subjects along with the result. The cutoff of NEET SS is generally lower for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Cardiology and NeuroSurgery. On the other hand, the qualifying score is high for Head and Neck Surgery, Gynaecological Oncology and Neuroradiology.
Will I qualify for the NEET SS 2025 exam if I score 40 percentile?
No. Candidates will have to score the minimum cut off marks to qualify for NEET SS exam. NBE has prescribed the minimum qualify cut off 20 percentile. Candidates will have to score minimum 20 or more to qualify for the exam. NEET SS 2024 result will be declared by February second week. Candidates will have to download the result PDF from the official website. A separate merit list will be released for each 13 group of super speciality. Qualified candidates will have to participate in the counselling process for seat allotment.
What is the total duration of the NEET SS 2025 exam?
The total duration of the NEET SS exam is 150 minutes or 2.5 hours. There is no sectional time limit. Hence, candidates have to manage the time accordingly to attempt as many questions as possible within this duration. There are 150 questions in total. Hence, to attempt all the questions, test-takers will get one minute per question. Along with maintaining speed to complete the NEET SS exam, candidates must also maintain accuracy to avoid losing marks since there is a negative marking scheme.
