NID DAT Cutoff 2026 will be released by the authorities on the official website, admissions.nid.edu, after the declaration of the NID DAT Prelims result. NID Cutoff 2025 for BDes ranged from 48 to 247 for the general category students. For the MDes program, the general category cutoff score ranges between 50- 70. However, for OBC-NCL and SC categories, the cutoff score closed at 62.65 for Film & Video Communication. The rank and score of the last candidate are also provided by the exam conducting bodies on the NID website. Candidates who qualified for the cutoff proceeded to the next stage of the admission process. It is to be noted that the qualifying cutoff and admission cutoff are different; the latter is announced at the time of admissions. Therefore, the outcome of NID DAT 2026 depends on the percentage weightage allotted to both DAT Prelims and DAT Mains.
Candidates need to log in to the NID DAT (Prelims) results website to find their qualifying status from the scorecard. The admission cutoff for NID DAT 2026 will be declared during the counselling and seat allotment process, with a different cut-off for each round of seat allotment. This admission cutoff is the final merit rank required to gain entry into the B.Des (or M.Des) programs offered at participating institutes. Only applicants who attain the cutoff mark will be eligible for admission; therefore, not attaining the cutoff mark will render one ineligible for admission.
