The SSC MTS Syllabus 2026 covers four subjects in the Computer Based Examination. The questions are based on the level prescribed by SSC for the recruitment examination, with Session I testing numerical and reasoning skills and Session II covering general awareness and English.
SSC MTS Subject-Wise Syllabus 2026

SSC MTS Syllabus 2026 for Session I
Session I consists of Numerical and Mathematical Ability and Reasoning Ability and Problem Solving. It contains 40 questions carrying 120 marks and is conducted for 45 minutes. There is no negative marking in Session I.
SSC MTS Syllabus 2026 for Session II
Session II includes General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension. It has 50 questions carrying 150 marks and is conducted for 45 minutes. Negative marking is applicable in this session, with 1 mark deducted for each incorrect answer.
SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2026
The SSC MTS 2026 Exam Pattern consists of two mandatory sessions. The CBE has 90 questions carrying 270 marks in total. Session I carries 120 marks, while Session II carries 150 marks and includes negative marking.
Note: Both sessions are mandatory. Candidates eligible for a scribe are provided additional time as prescribed by SSC.
SSC MTS Havaldar PET/PST 2026
Candidates applying for Havaldar posts have to qualify in PET and PST after the Computer Based Examination. MTS candidates are not required to appear for PET/PST.

The PET includes a walking test with separate requirements for male and female candidates.
SSC MTS Havaldar PST 2026
The PST checks the prescribed physical standards. The requirements include height and other applicable physical measurements.
