Telangana NEET UG 2025 Counselling: The online registration for Round 1 of Telangana NEET UG 2025 counselling is taking place from July 16. It will conclude on July 25, 2025. After the registration period for students who qualified in the Telangana NEET 2025 Exam, the provisional merit list will be released on July 25, followed by the filling and locking of preferred MBBS and BDS colleges and courses. The Round 1 seat allotment result will be announced in late July. Selected candidates must report to the allotted college in August with their original documents to confirm admission. Round 2 and the Mop-up round will take place in August, while the Stray Vacancy round is expected in September 2025 for any leftover seats.

 

Telangana NEET counselling 2025 is being conducted online at knruhs.telangana.gov.in for 85% State Quota seats in government colleges and 100% seats in private, minority, and NRI quota colleges. The remaining 15% All India Quota seats in government medical colleges are managed separately by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The counselling will be held in multiple rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up, and Stray Vacancy, depending on seat availability. Through this process, over 9,000 MBBS and 1,300+ BDS seats in Telangana will be allotted to eligible candidates.

The counselling for Telangana NEET UG 2025 will begin with online registration from July 16 to 25, 2025. The provisional merit list will be released on July 25. Telangana NEET Counselling 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To participate in Telangana NEET UG 2025 counselling, candidates must meet certain rules set by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) and the National Medical Commission. The requirements differ slightly for State Quota, All India Quota, and Management/NRI seats:

State Quota (85%)

Must meet Telangana domicile rules of either studied in Telangana/Andhra Pradesh for 4 - 10 years or have parents who are domiciled in Telangana.

All India Quota (15%)

No domicile rules apply. Open to all eligible candidates across India.

NRI/Management Quota

Domicile is not needed, but students must qualify NEET UG 2025.

 

Telangana NEET 2025 Counselling Process

The Telangana NEET UG counselling will be held online by Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) for government, private, and minority medical and dental colleges in the state. It will take place in several rounds: Round 1, Round 2, Mop-up, and a Stray Vacancy round for unfilled seats.

 

1. Registration on KNRUHS Website

Candidates must first visit the official counselling website at knruhs.telangana.gov.in and create an account. They need to enter their personal details, academic information, and NEET UG 2025 details, upload scanned certificates, and pay the counselling fee. After this step, a login ID is generated for further stages.

 

2. Document Verification and Merit List

Once registration is completed, KNRUHS will verify all the uploaded documents. Only candidates who meet the eligibility criteria will be included in the provisional merit list. This list will be published online and will decide who can participate in the choice-filling round.

 

3. Choosing and Locking Colleges

After the merit list is released, eligible candidates can log in and select their preferred MBBS and BDS colleges and courses in order of priority. They must lock their choices before the last date, as no changes are allowed after locking.

 

4. Seat Allotment

KNRUHS will process the filled choices along with the NEET UG rank to prepare the seat allotment result. Candidates who get a seat can download their provisional allotment letter from the portal.

 

5. Reporting to the College

Those allotted a seat must report to the respective medical or dental college within the given time, carry all original documents for verification, and pay the admission fee. If they fail to report, the seat will be cancelled.

 

6. Further Rounds

Students who do not get a seat in the first round or want to upgrade can participate in Round 2. After that, a Mop-up round will be held for vacant seats, and finally, a Stray Vacancy round at the college level will fill any remaining seats.

 

Documents Required for Telangana NEET 2025 Counselling

If you are allotted a seat in Telangana NEET 2025 counselling, you must report to the college within the given time and carry all the required original documents for verification. It is also advised to keep a few photocopies along with the originals for submission.

Telangana NEET 2025 Cutoff

Students must first get the minimum qualifying percentile in NEET UG to join Telangana NEET 2025 counselling. The qualifying percentile stays the same every year, but the exact cutoff marks change based on the difficulty of the exam and how students perform. Telangana NEET 2025 Reservation Policy

In Telangana NEET 2025 counselling, seats are reserved for different categories as per state rules. Backward Classes get 29% reservation, SC candidates have 15%, ST candidates have 10%, and EWS students get 10%.
